Do I think less of someone for using AI for anything generative? yes. doesn’t matter why it makes my blood boil. even coding or debugging, don’t care. use your brain instead. Fuck, even copy from stack overflow if you need coding help that bad. sure maybe that’s got a lot of ai stuff in it now (I don’t know) but at least you’re doing research and thinking on your own. I don’t care what tool you’re using or what it’s for. Doesn’t matter. You’re the problem. There’s a fundamental disconnect between you and the true purpose of creation and learning and living. fuck off.

sometimes I wake up and I think about the big school capstone thingy i’m working on. And I wonder if I’m trying too hard

It’s not uncommon for me to be a perfectionist. To scrutinize prototypes I make for my projects and not settle for anything less than perfect, perfect, perfect. I think about how I could have done it better. Oh, this track doesn’t fit perfectly and has some resistance. Oh, I need to redesign the padding here to fit the shoulders better. Things like that.

And sometimes I wonder if I should just let it be. Not stop caring but being passive. Let someone else notice the flaws and tell me to fix it instead of analyzing every joint, junction, adhesive.

Maybe that’s a good way to approach things because otherwise my group looks at me like lost sheep while I tell them how we could fix the problem and then they ask me if I can do it. And how can I say no? Because when I consider how to fix things I keep my skill set and equipment in mind. And then I get hit with fixing the problems I diagnose.

And it’s a prototype. There’s a lot of diagnosing.

Maybe they should take the reins for once.
