There is actually a fan fiction that contains an entire hypothetical content of the customized Pony Pals book, based on the real version. Its called detective Pony and its written by Sonnetstuck. At this point, it definitely contains spoilers, but I would definitely recommend it for later reading

There happens to be an EXCELLENT fanfic that is literally added commentary/notes to a copy of Detective Pony as if the writer were DS. ("Detective Pony" by sonnetstuck - it's VERY long). Which fanwork fest would be an appropriate time to send it in? It doesn't have any actual plot spoilers but alludes to a lot of thematic stuff from later in Act 6.

Ok but there is actually a fanwork in the depths of Ao3 that has rewritten the entirety of Detective Pony with what they would have put for Post Scratch Bro's edits and commentary, so later on, probably after finishing homestuck, you could check that out or something, i think they have a tumblr too, i don't really remember lmao. i haven't read it myself but my friends loved it and apparently cried.

Popping in to let you know that there IS a fanwritten version of Pony Pals, Jane's gift from DS (i almost spoiled his name there omg). It is INCREDIBLY good, my favourite fanwork by far, and I highly highly recommend it. You wouldn't be able to read it until after you've finished the majority of Act 6 (bc duh spoilers but also bc you need a good understanding of DS to truly appreciate it), but oh boy. It's fantastic.
[Skaia] I’m actually glad people brought this up, because I remember reading it way-back-when, even though I remember only getting half-way through for some reason. It really was high-quality work, but you really need to know much more about Post-Scratch Bro to appreciate it, so it’s gonna be held off for quite a while. Also as dedicatedfollower467 pointed out, it has a lot of thematic spoilers. That’s also the main reason I’m not sending Nora the “SBURB Glitch FAQ” (probably my favorite Homestuck fic) a lot of you sent in for that last Fanfest. Nevertheless, I’ll make a note to reread it and give it to her when I think it would be safe.
On a side note, while I’ve finally gone through the pictures and am now working on the video section of the Fanfest, it will take me a LONG WHILE to go through the fanfic portion so don’t expect that anytime soon. I’ll see what I can do though.
