Miranda paused, blinking rapidly at the blindsiding statement. She didn't expect that from her role holder friend. Especially since she was a faceless. Someone whose face was destined to remain obscure. After the fact registered, she couldn't help but feel slightly embarrassed. Or maybe it was just shyness. She felt her cheeks warm slightly as she replied with, "Thanks, Nightmare. That means a lot."

“Morning Nightmare,” Alice kindly said, noticing the high stacks of both finished and unfinished papers on his desk. Pulling something out of her basket, Alice smiled brightly. “Take a look at what I picked up on the streets this morning while out to get more coffee beans,” holds up a stray kitten she found abandoned and hurt. “I’m going to leave it here on the desk while I find a medicine kit, okay?”

@asicklydreamdemon It had been a long day. Strix scavaged for food and shelter while it poured down rain. Not that many facless people were use to her , so most of them threw her to the street. The comfort of warmth and happiness left her a while ago. She needed to rest for the night , or whatever time of day it was , it changed so rapidly. After a while of walking down a alley , she finally found a blanket and torn matress. " This will do..." she sighed. She slowly closed her eyes . Peace at last. Or was it? She felt her self floating and opened her eyes to a odd green , smokey place. It felt lonley yet safe. "Hello?" she yelled. Where was she?

Ah yes, the benefits of being able to turn into a child against someone who was weak against them…Well being persistent helped a lot too in this case.  

“Yup, it had to be you,” he said calmly. “Unfortunately, someone beat me to asking Alice. So I hope you really don’t mind coming here that much. After all you look beautiful in that dress, it’d be a waste to just leave it lying around at home.”

“You allowed someone else to scoop Alice away?!” Sepia curled her gloved fingers into fists and stomped a heel on the marble floor.Her motherly instincts had suddenly kicked in. 

“You should have temporarily poisoned whoever it was for the night! What is wrong with you? How could you give her up so easily?” She scolded him like a wife would to a husband that had just recently lost their child.”I demand to know who’s accompanying her.”

“Do you not hear the gunshots?” Noé pressed, swelling urgency hardening his tone. Were he less occupied by the coming danger, he would’ve realised that it was his sensitive vampire hearing that picked up the noise, still a ways off for normal people to hear.

But still all too real.

“It’s dangerous to remain here, monsieur. You have to leave!”
