George Falconer - A single Man
Grief and Depression
-
Today, January 13th, is World Depression Day.
Let's remember George Falconer, a gay British professor in 1962 Los Angeles grieving the death of his partner, Jim.
His story shows how depression can feel like loneliness, even in a world that keeps moving.
George fell into depression because of grieving the loss of his beloved.
The story shows us that awareness means recognizing hidden struggles and choosing empathy, because being seen and understood can change a life.
(Yes, the post is a bit late but I've been busy and unmotivated. Here it's still January 13th so it still counts, right?)
