Just asking this for the fun of it: have you ever gender-swapping characters before? I've been gender-swapping for a bit.

Oh forever ago. XD Haven't done it in years. Mainly since whenever I do usually the gender swap winds up becoming their own character since their write up becomes so far removed from what it was originally.

Lead to making some good characters though. <3 So I had my fun with it. Just don't really dabble anymore. Once in a while though for funzies.

I've just finished Don't Make Deals with Demons. You have punched me in the feels. But tell me, is there going to be a sequel? ._.

While currently I have no plans for another story yet, I do want to return to the world of Lumen Solum and Umbra Cacles some time in the future, just not right now. In the mean time, people may write or headcanon whatever they like about what happens after the events of the book.

Are your college pals amazed by your book yet? I've only ready a couple of chapters and I have been COMPLETELY blown away by your writing.

As for my college buddies reactions, a lot of them are surprised by the mere fact I even published a book.

“No way you published a book!?”

“Yup. It’s on Amazon.”

“*looks it up on phone, shows it to the others* GUYS SHE’S LEGIT!”

I don’t know anyone of my circle who has read it though since eh, not everyone can afford a little book at the moment. (Life of a college student, money usually goes to food first.)

Though lot of them are intrigued by the premise whenever I tell them it. So, guess that’s something. =)

From what I could gather Wilson had a good home with Cecelia and the rest of his family but what I don't understand is why was he eager to leave? And sorry if my facts are off I'm still a little iffy with keeping up with all the stories you have. (which are awesome btw) :)

Well there are the following factors to consider. 

One is Edward. Edward, from Wilson’s point of view, snapped. He became someone who was cruel and didn’t love his family at the drop of a hat and then one day just left without much notice. Wilson would soon later find out it was  being committed to an asylum but he wouldn’t get the full story till later on as to why Ed went insane. Till then, Wilson was under the impression his father hated him and thought his dreams of being a scientist were stupid. While he had Percival to fill in as a father figure, Wilson wouldn’t deny he wished his real father was there and… well, loved him. Accepted him and actually cared. He wanted a chance to prove himself to his father but can’t do that when he isn’t around.

Second is the Barlows. Yeah, these guys. While the Higgsbury side of things are all nice and sweet, these guys make it abundantly clear they’re not fond of him and his mother. Wilson is the runt of the family to them, just like his mother and they have no qualms of letting him know they think that. During parties they attended out of Cecelia trying to earn money (They’d pay her to show up so they could keep their perfect image of a family to the public. All that money would go to support for Wilson.) they’d find ways to make Wilson’s life Hell. Humiliated in front of girls he would try to dance with, switching his drink out and having him pass out due to his low alcohol tolerance, saying how he would go insane just like his father, basically making him feel lower than dirt. Wilson put a lot of pressure on himself to want to prove them all wrong. Show them that he was nothing like they said he was and get them to finally shut up. Prove to them that Wilson Percival Higgsbury is one of the best scientists in the world and you should be ashamed of ever doubting him. 

Third was the pressure that that hit him after Percival died. He was in grad school and the pressure was getting to him from everything else mentioned above. When Percival died, that’s when he cracked. He lost someone dear to him and was grieving and what were some of Percival’s colleagues doing after he died? Bad mouthing the man andsaying things about him that didn’t sit well with Wilson. Wilson eventually snapped at one them (humiliating them too by correcting an equation on the board) and dropped out, having had enough of it. 

It was after all that Wilson left home. Reason he did that was… his own reasoning. It was nothing Cecelia did, Emmett, Percival or Melinda. Wilson reasoned he was being too much of a burden and needed to strike out on his own. That his mother shouldn’t have to deal with someone like him who was starting to become a failure. He wanted to fix it and he figured the best way to do it was on his own. Away from everyone else and not burden them with his issues. 

Wilson’s biggest flaws are having a hard asking for help and admitting when he has a problem. He doesn’t want to appear weak or bother anyone with his problems. He wants to solve it all himself which sadly leads to a lot of his failings, not being able to perform as well in areas where he is actually gifted and well sent him a downward spiral that lead him into the rut he got into when Maxwell showed up. Honestly if Maxwell hadn’t showed up, things might’ve not ended so well for The Gentlemen Scientist.

I've been meaning to ask, how do you come up with the names of your characters? :3

I usually factor in a few things: 

- Ethnic background

- Name meaning

- They look the name (This only factors in if I have a design ready.) 

- Has a nice ring to it

To give an example, my OC, Kosuke Okamura, his name was the results of the facts he is of Japanese descent, his first name means rising sun, it was actually due to his name his design changed, (Side note, his name used to be Hibiki Yoshida before the redesign. He just didn’t look the name anymore so hence I changed it.) and with that last one, it sounds nice when you say it. That nice ring to it. 

That’s kind of my system when it comes to names. I also tend to sometimes borrow names from people I meet randomly or people I personally know. Or sometimes the name choices are an inside joke and or reference.  That goes for last names, middle names and first names. 

Sometimes I just make up names. Linara, one of my first creations, I just made up her name on the spot. 83 It’s fun to make up names that don’t exist. 

Oh and time period is a factor too. Sometimes. Just depends. 

So yeah, that’s kind of how I do it.

I was looking up DS stuff and noticed that if the examine volt goats Webber indicates his father owned goats and Warly says he had a goat. So I thought I'd ask what your opinion on Warly possibly being Webber's father is?

That’d be interesting if that was the case and could make for interesting stories but I don’t think I find myself jumping aboard that head canon since for me I need a few other things to work with besides one small detail. I’d be interested to see what someone could do with it though. =)

How did Winona get to the constant in yout world? Did Willow start the factory fire?

Storm shall be talking about that in one of her snippets so I’m keeping my mouth shut till then.

However, I will say this, Willow didn’t start the fire. Winona was in Ohio and Willow was in California. She actually was commited the same year the fire happened which was 1919
