RYEWID thought...like a year or two after the main story, Bradley smacks his head hard and everyone panics and nobody wants to be the one to call Pumpkin to tell her the her husband is a dumbass who wasn't paying attention and now he needs stitches. But the good news is it shakes lose a few memories. Like Pumpkin is PISSED and Bradley is like hey remember that vacation we went on? I really liked that ice cream from that place we should go visit. And everyone is like bro wtf?!?!? You're in the hospital moron 😭🤣

It was the worst kind of deja vu. You were sitting at your desk in the middle of the afternoon when your phone rang, Jake’s name staring back at you. Your hand shook as you answered it. 

“Jake?” 

“Hey, dollface. So uh…there’s been a little bit of an accident.”

Anxiety clawed at you as he explained that Bradley had hit his head at work. He had just landed on the tarmac after a hop and had missed a step as he climbed out of his Super Hornet. He had tried to catch himself, but had hit the side of his head against the ladder and then the ground when he fell. 

“He’s fine,” Jake assured you, and you could practically hear the roll of his eyes through the phone, “he’s just a concussed dumbass who needs stitches.” 

Still, worst case scenarios sped through your mind the whole way to the hospital on base. By the time you made it through the emergency room doors, your heart was in your throat and you thought you were going to throw up. The nurse at the front desk took in your frazzled appearance and gave you a sympathetic look of her own as she handed you a visitor badge and Bradley’s room number. 

You practically sprinted down the hallway, tears stinging your eyes against your will. You barely registered the laughter filtering out of the partially open door before you burst through it. Your eyes immediately landed on Bradley where he sat on the edge of the bed, still in his flight suit, hand holding a red stained towel to his head. He looked dazed when he looked over, but a smile tugged at his lips when he met your eyes.  

“Hey, Pumpkin.” 

Relief rushed through you when he spoke the name. Several of your friends were crowded in the small room, but you paid them no mind as you rushed to your husband’s side, nearly tripping over Jake’s extended legs. 

“Are you okay?” you asked urgently. 

“I’m fine,” he assured, and with his free hand he tugged you between his dangling legs and wrapped his arm around your back in a loose hug. You’re mindful of the wound on his head as you accept the embrace gratefully. You kissed his cheek when you pulled away, before surveying every inch of his face. You stared into his eyes for a long moment, checking for any sign of confusion or lack of recognition. But it was your Bradley staring back at you, his dark gaze unfocused from the pain meds they had given him on his arrival, but him, nonetheless. You heaved out a long breath as some of the stress left you. Then your face twisted into a glare and you smacked his arm. 

“You almost gave me a heart attack! It hasn’t even been a year yet since the last time, Bradley! Jesus!” 

Someone snickered behind you but you’re too focused on the man sitting on the edge of the bed. He’s still smiling despite your ire. 

“What?” you demanded, “why are you smiling? This is not a smiling matter.” 

“I remembered something,” he said, and he looked so happy that you thought it must be something of significance to him. You wracked your brain thinking of what he still hadn’t remembered that could cause this excitement, but he kept going before you could ask. 

“You don’t drink Fireball because you threw up all over your date at a frat party in college after taking too many shots of it,” he announced loudly, smile stretching. Your eyes widened in alarm. “And seeing me play pool at the Hard Deck makes you horn-” 

You slapped a hand over his mouth to stop him from continuing. Heat erupted under your skin as your friends laughed. You cleared your throat in embarrassment. 

“Let’s save these memories for when we’re alone, okay?” 

He looked completely unbothered and so damn proud of himself at the same time, like he always did when he remembered something. He kissed your palm, mumbling unintelligible words into your skin. You removed your hand so he could speak clearly. 

“What?”  

“Love you,” he murmured. “Didn’t mean to scare you.” 

Some of the embarrassment, anger, and pure fear that you had been feeling faded away as a surge of love and fondness shot through you. You pressed another kiss to his cheek. “I love you too.” 

Right as the doctor walked into the room to stitch the cut, though, Bradley smirked, wiggling his eyebrows. The look he gave you was full of mischief. “You can definitely punish me for it later if you want. I know you like that, too.”

Also, to give you a headcanon in return, I've recently been so into the idea of the SNK kids as dancers. Imagine Bertholdt as an incredibly graceful dancer who rocks any routine he's given and can go from fluid lyrical dancer to sex god hip hop dancer in .3 seconds and no one can handle it (especially Reiner!) Think the same for Marco too!!! I just love dancer aus and needed to share!!!

AHHHHH OMG YESSSS this is fantastic?? I love musically-inclined Bertholdt so much - he’d have such excellent rhythm and could easily pick up new routines and songs. Plus he’s so lithe and flexible and graceful…. he’d be spectacular! I think he’d really enjoy learning new moves and styles, with the end goal of a beautiful routine that he could work towards. He’d work so hard learning and getting it just right, but his routines would be perfect every time <3 Maybe he and Marco would be in the same studio or take the same classes? I think they’d be great friends and would practice together and learn from each other and be such happy dancer buds omg this is so GOOD now I can’t stop thinking about this either XD thank you for this <3

top 5 fics you've written and why! go!

okay, now that i’ve gotten over my anger over tumblr refreshing my long-ass response when i was basically done (I’m actually not over it at all, but it’s fine), here we go. once more, with feeling:

these are in no particular order, because on another day the order could change, or maybe different stories might be here. it’s not my fault: i love everything i’ve shared online.

(also i love you, you’re my fave)

+ stuck in reverse (teen wolf / sterek):

this is by far the longest thing i’ve ever posted online - it’s a full-length novel - and for that reason alone it would be one of my favorites. but i also knew it would be long, and i didn’t let that intimidate me. and i’m pretty proud of myself for that.

i love what i did with this fic: all the relationships i developed, the fun baddie storyline, the way everyone is allowed to grow together over time. i loved giving derek the space and time to start healing, i loved working with the pack dynamics, i loved developing characters that weren’t as developed in the show. i loved that i made so many people fall in love with jackson and stiles as besties, and i found i loved writing peter which surprised me! i wasn’t sure i’d get him right, and i really think i did.

also stilinski family feels. i will always, always love developing their family relationship.

a reader called that fic a love letter to stiles and the people who love him, and i think that’s a pretty fair assessment. stiles has been my favorite character to write ever, the one i think i understand most. he’s deeply important to me.

+ don’t know what i’m supposed to do (haunted by the ghost of you) (teen wolf / sterek):

this may be one of the easiest fics i’ve ever written, which still surprises me a bit. i had this idea originally for a character in another fandom, but it never seemed to work. when i shifted this idea to stiles, everything just…worked. the words started to come. i knew right away talia was going to show up, and i was really excited to see how that would work out.

i loved writing the undercurrent of love that flows throughout this fic. most of the characters are operating through love and i think that’s the most beautiful thing.

i loved creating this subtle ribbon of love for stiles in the background of the story that he was too blind to see, simply because he was so deep in what was going on with his own head.

i’m not typically an oc person, but i loved mine here. harry and cassie and even gerry, who just wanted to be heard. and zeke, of course. i loved that he surprised me. when i started writing the story i didn’t know he’d be as important to the story as he ended up being. he surprised me in the best way. the story doesn’t work without him. and so many people agree. they love zeke. i totally get it. i love him too.

+ counting on (suits / harvey x mike):

this isn’t my most popular suits fic - that’s my soulmate au, i think - but i think it’s my best. this was also one of the easier fics i’ve ever written. once i figured out the tone i wanted - a little sad, a little melancholy, a little hopeful - it was pretty easy to slip into that tone. the words just came.

i think in pictures, so i loved incorporating pictures throughout this story of the people of new york that mike meets, and of the life he lives now. it’s a contrast to the almost ephemeral nature of mike’s job as a fake lawyer - a job that, ultimately, he left an invisible mark on. it’s a job he can never really claim, but he can claim the life he has now. and i loved transitioning mike and harvey away from that life together and toward something that still felt authentic to them.

+ here in the heart (of my sanctuary) (teen wolf / sterek / pre-sterek):

this fic scratched my garden witch/protector of supernatural creatures stiles itch. i love the world i created here and i loved giving derek a place in his pack that felt honest and true to him.

i loved including all the creatures here - mermen and a baby mermaid! nessie! tiny dragons!!! - and it was fun to sort of expand the supernatural world. (and to keep the hale pack alive.)

it’s really a very quiet, soft story where not a lot happens. but it’s the beginning of something you know is going to be beautiful. you can feel that in the moment derek really starts to come into his own in his place in the pack.

one reader said it made them feel seen, and another said it felt like a studio ghibli film, and how could it not be one of my favorites after comments like that?

+ what a big heart i have (better to love you with) (teen wolf / sterek):

i went back and forth over which fic should be #5, and i picked this one because it has mates (which i love), a really good sense of time and place, and some good stiles and jackson brotp, which as we know is one of my favorite things to write.

i love a fic that’s set in a very strict timeline and this one is set in a 24 hour period. it has a very specific vibe too, that i love. while there are big, loud moments, as stiles and derek come together the story gets much closer, more intimate. it’s another fic that builds to the start of something.

i loved writing cora and jackson, and as you know, had a ton of fun with all the halloween costumes. there were a lot of things that were just fun about this story: making cora an artist, jackson as basically an adopted stilinski, the true, genuine love jackson and stiles have for each other, the different world building, writing a derek and stiles who are both so deeply into each other and also so deeply right for and deserving of each other.

I get that a lot about Jackson. I’m pretty proud of that. I’m proud that people still recognize him as Jackson, but that they like him more now. He’s a fun character to write.
