Since most of the stories so far have been “Sonic, but evil” it makes me realize that Sonic is a terrifying villain.
He's also a terrifying hero, to be fair XD
Don't overestimate Cookie!Sonic, though! He may be evil but he's also Boom!Eggman's type of evil. That man attracts failure <3
i havent seen many comics here come out since cookie sonic, is this being paused for the other few series?
Yes and No--a majority of our collaborators have been busier than expected so most projects are on a delay. Rest assured, at least three-to-four of our stories are in the works art wise and should be completed relatively soon. Aka within the year.
That being said, the anthology is more so a place for those involved to collaborate on stories and post them on a neutral blog. There's not really a strict schedule. Mostly because people like @multiisketch (who does all the organizing and management) is working on multiple projects and doesn't want to completely exhaust herself lol
We try to make announcements before a new comic releases, though so keep your eye out!
I wonder-why do Sonic's eyes turn gold in the most recent anthology issue?
The cookies transform Sonic into a mini-eggman, moustache and all. But isn't eggman's eye color blue? What makes Sonic's turn gold?
Methinks it might have something to do with the effects of doubling upp on the eggman cookie we just saw...
Eggman's glasses are blue. His eye color is otherwise a mystery. I was going to make them red--like Eggman's are in Archie--but it would have reminded people too much of a different comic being worked on by the same team members as this story. Blue would have blended too much into Sonic's quills otherwise so I choose yellow as something that would stand out.
For symbolism, I guess, Sonic's quills and eye color shift farther down the color wheel from their color of origin as if what is "him" color wise is literally getting stretched out.
I love Cookie!Sonic, and I wonder and imagine that his reaction at finding himself wearing a (clearly) Eggman's colors and uniform (but smaller) wasn't the greatest...

"GET IT OFF, GET IT OFF!" But they can't help him bc he hasn't deactivated the laser cage XD, so now they can only see him... Getting more and more anxious and angry until he could either take it off or rip it to shreds

Nah, it would be funny. Mostly cos Eggman would be watching him looking so hurt. Not offended--just completely and utterly disappointed as Sonic reacts like he's got a giant cockroach on him lol

i see you have a lot of plans for an evil sonic, but do you have plans for the opposite, being good metal sonic?
There are a few Metal Sonic focused stories being developed right now, but none so specific as making him outright "good"!

Not gonna lie, there were a lot of times throughout the comic that we just stopped and went, "this is just Uncle Chuck" LOL
Although, to be honest, I think Sonic rocks it better, heh.
His moustache does need regular care and maintenance. It would grow back after a shave, but he would never shave it off. Under the cookies influence, Sonic finds his moustache glorious and his best feature.
Just gotta mention i love the final panel of Amy's face in the new upload. Just her little o ^ o face.
Aaaand the fact that the entire team just looked at her, like, "Amy... we know you have something that can work."
Just loving remembering that the hedgehog who keeps the team straight also has her priorities. :)
