I finally got around to reading ARE and I love it!!! \o/ All the characters are my fave, and as always, you're really good at comics - the jokes, compositions, ideas, and art! Question: will we ever meet E's dad? or learn more about her childhood and upbringing? I don't think her mum's been men tioned (is she dead bc E's a protag? haha!) anyway, I love it and can't wait to see more! :3

I hope you don’t mind that I publish it, so others get answers for questions regarding Elena and story setting.Elena’s father Mr. Williamson will appear in the ARE Novel, which is currently running in chapter 2. The novel will answer also questions regarding Elena’s mother, who is, indeed, deceased. Elena lives in her home with her father and A or R, who needs to keep an eye on Elena due her unwanted protagonist destiny. While Mr. Williamson is very busy man and rarely at home, they have a very warm and loving relationship with Elena.Also, questions of Elena’s childhood and such will be answered in the novel, too. I promise there will be lots of interesting conversation between Elena and other characters! I definitely recommend everyone to read it and keep an eye on it. I’ve planned it to be somewhat short, so it won’t be too difficult to read.I’ve started the novel because I felt it would be the best medium to answer all questions and also board the world and deepen the characters, when compared to short comic strips, which don’t have even backgrounds haha :DThank you for your question! I'm new to ARE, can you tell me about it real quick? It looks really cool!

Sure! For more info check out the characters and the very first comic where all began.

ARE tells story of Elena, white haired 19 year old woman, who is destined to be a protagonist due her hair color. She just wants to study and live a normal life, so to ensure this her father gave her a birthday present on her 19th birthday; a bodyguard A or R.A or R’s job is to keep Elena safe from the protagonist’s story trying to kick in, while all magical creatures ect. try to get Elena. Sadly A or R fails in his mission once when a magical creature Loid lures Elena in and seals a deal with her. With the deal Loid become Elena’s antagonist, making Elena spiral deeper into the role of a protagonist. The comic doesn’t have any plot currently, but it’s a story formed from strips. There are some story elements in it and I’ve got plans for it. I update ARE whenever I’ve got inspiration and time - which both have been very low for a long time ToT - because I want to keep this project as happy thing, not as a burden.Always feel free to ask anything you want about ARE!

I also agree with that anon! Loid really looks so cute sleeping! Something felt familiar when I first read the last update and I just realized it's because I totally sleep in the same position like Loid. （≧∇≦）

I wonder if Loid is actually intrested in E? It was so sudden that he want to kiss E which I found suspicious and there it is, revealing himself as the antogonist. Can't wait for more~~

Loid needed the kiss in order to seal the protagonist-antagonist deal with Elena. He’s very “get onto your skin”-type though and uses his body for seals, deals and other evil magic. I will go all this deeper through in the updates though!I wanted to use the fairy tale kiss from the opposite from the usual; instead of saving someone, it actually dooms the one who is kissed. What it comes to Loid’s interactions and thoughts of Elena, we have to wait for more updates to know more! :3

Keep an eye on the Characters-page, as I update info there every now and then. I have lots of info of all the characters, but I’m saving most of them for the comics.

Oh, about the villain thing, what I meant was that I'm really curious about stuff like limited steps and what other stuff there is in this world villain wise? Just from what we've seen it seems really fascinating ahhh

Like sometimes villains are treated like they can do anything, no boundaries unlike the protag. But limited steps and stuff, I've never seen anything like that so I'm really curious about the types of villains. A or R's villaindex catch them all :>-.-.-.-.-.-.-.Oh you meant that! I’m sorry, I understood wrong!Yes, there will be info of Limited Steps and other similar stuff coming in the future, but that all is pretty much Loid’s stuff and might thus take a little time before we reach it all. But Loid’s not limitless super-villain, just like Elena isn’t limitless or A or R isn’t limitless. That wouldn’t be fun!

I personally really like the idea of A or R and E being bffs. Like it would seem pretty predictable if they got together, though it would be cute! I really dig the whole YES MOM and like sibling vibe I get from them, it's really cute just like it is!

Though I’ll like whatever happens, it’s your story! I just hadn’t seen anyone say that yet so I thought I should just in case it seemed like everyone wanted them to be a couple. Loid is really nifty too, are we gonna learn more about villain types?

Thank you for your feedback! There is a certain expectation in the air for Elena and A or R ending together, that’s for sure. I always say to people that they can take Elena’s and A or R’s interactions as they like. They’re very comfortable around each other and I want to bring that out as much as I can, no matter what the future for them would be. :3 

For villains I’m planning to keep Loid as the only villain, at least for now. The less the characters, the easier it is for me to keep everything running - and Loid has managed to even surprise me with his personality and different possibilities he can bring in plot-wise! So, currently I feel there’s no need to any other villain, except the random jerks pestering Elena (and the fairies pestering A or R haha).For Loid I have plenty of ideas. It might take a while until I get them out though.
