Shinichi has an American accent, because Hawaii, and he hates it. it's not an English accent (AKA the Sherlock Accent) so when he finally meets Saguru as himself, there is a lot of subtle poking for Saguru to speak English so that Shinichi can learn the 'proper' way.

adding on to this, Shinichi is totally an anglophile (fond of, or greatly admiring, Great Britain).

Kaito is really good at Latin dances; since they require strong core strength, teach body isolation/movement (move parts of his body independently), and increase stamina/strength/flexibility, they're very useful for KID-related activities. putting all that aside, he first learnt it for the flair.

Haibara never takes the antidote. a widely accepted headcanon but important nonetheless!!

Heiji and Shinichi's strange almost-romantic bromance peeves Kazuha, especially after she and Heiji start dating. however, she meets Shinichi and Understands. doesn't mean she likes it, but she gets it.

adding on to this, Heiji tries to establish a Thing where 'it's not cheating if it's Kudou'. Kazuha fights back by proposing a secondary Thing where 'it's not cheating if it's Ran'. Heiji immediately gives up, but Kazuha makes a point of being even friendlier with Ran when Heiji is around for the next few months afterwards.

What's your favorite detco movie so far?

i'm pretty new to detco, so i've only watched the first 4 lol

hm. out of those 4, i'd say i like The Fourteenth Target the most? the scene where Conan understands why Kogoro would shoot at Eri is just so delicious. gave me goosebumps. i also really enjoyed getting a deeper look at Kogoro's psyche: he's the kind of pathetic character that i can't help but feel simultaneously disgusted by but want to crack open and understand, you know?

i'm looking forward to watching Magician of the Silver Sky, Lost Ship in the Sky, Sunflowers of Inferno, and Black Iron Submarine, too. KID and CoAi interactions have my heart in a death grip lol

Well, you may have found one here. I'm not into going to be around Tumblr much for a while. I'm not big on internet dialogs. One of the many reasons I left Facebook and Tumblr was to avoid them. I am a painfully slow correspondent because I have great difficulty with language. You may not believe how long it is taking me to write you this short paragraph.

I suggest you read my pinned post, view the attached YouTube videos, and carefully read my comments on my pinned post. If you really want to convers with me after that, I suggest starting with a question. Having taught students from junior high through graduate school, I'm nearly compulsive about answering questions. Most especially truly interesting questions that lead me to new ideas and things. Even the ones that I was asked decades ago and already think I know the answer to may lead to something new. Under my present circumstances, there may be long delays.

27. What is a question that you never get asked about your fics that you really want to answer?

surprisingly, i don't have one. all my fics are like onions, with layers upon layers of references and deeper meanings, so i feel like i manage to write a lot of what i want to get across, if that makes sense? what i really want right now is a comment that has paragraphs of analysis for my fics, plus constructive criticism on what i could do better. both for the ego boost and the new perspectives it might give me. okay, mostly for the ego boost.
