🗺 what's a book series you love that's inspired by the culture/history of a specific country?
it’s not a series! but i’ve always adored bullfinch’s mythology which details all the roman/greek and nordic mythologies. i’ve always found it interesting how some cultures see those stories as dogmatic while some other countries would prefer a book like the bible. it begs the question what’s faith and what’s fiction.

the twilight books are hot garbage but the twilight movies are far better without bella’s (aka stephanie meyer’s self-insert and indecisive) monologues
