mike sits by max’s hospital bed once again. instead of reading to her or just taking in the silence, he’s brought a christmas movie. he remembers a night long ago where she shared her favorite Christmas flick. so he turns it on.

Mike explains whats happening to her, even though she cannot hear. or so the nurses say. he laughs. he cries. mike pieces more of the “Max” puzzle together. Mike thinks he understands her more afterwards. maybe.

Mike desperately wishes she would wake up so he didn’t have to leave empty and alone again. But she never does. So he signs the logbook and leaves. again.

need her waking up and them watching that movie together, and max pretends to be annoyed when he has a running commentary (she talks almost as much as he does during the movie). at one point max throws popcorn in mike’s hair and keeps a perfectly straight face as she waits to see how long it’ll take him to notice. he tells her about having watched the movie at her bedside and she has him tell her some of the jokes he made so she can make fun of him since she didnt get to when she was in the coma.

I have this post because I feel some of the asks I answer are worth saving, for me personally, and perhaps for you as well. But I don’t want to put them all in my Masterpost where I want to keep it a bit more structured for my longer posts and analysis. So for asks that are more about answering specific questions or about general things or my feelings I will put them here. I also don’t add every ask I have ever answered, as some are repeat questions or just very short and probably not that interesting for others than me.

Asks are written more in the moment than my usual posts, so they might be less accurate as it’s all mostly from the top of my head. The newest ones will actually be on top, and then they will get older going down the list. I’ll update it regularly as I answer more asks. :)

the party have figured that Max and Mike cannot be in the same kitchen together. it’s like putting a gun in a childs hand. the pots and pan would go flying, obscenities shouted, knives pulled out. bloodbath.

but then Mike would actually make something good and Max would have to try really hard to pretend it wasn’t good. but then he’d try and take her plate away and she’d make up some excuse.

max hasn’t ever made anything good, but that doesn’t stop Mike from cheering her on until she hits him upside the head.

thats the stuff mike misses, when she lays on that hospital bed.

biggest pet peeves

max and mike make the worst (best) roommates. for everything they fight about, there is always something that is equally comforting or nice. they may fight over who wears the sweater, but they will still smile and joke about how they look in it. idk.

you know i have always loved the idea of them as roommates. hope you’re doing well.

people say that Argyle is the "he asked for no pickles" bf, but they are wrong.

if Jonathan gets pickles that he Did Not Order, Argyle will eat them for him

Argyle is not picky about food and is down to try anything. Jonathan isn't super picky either but there are a few things that he HATES (pickles, bananas, and raw onions) and so he gives them to Argyle to eat.

Jonathan gets cold easily and Argyle is basically a human heater. Very snuggles. Very cute.

i love that. for some reason, i imagine that argyle has tried these really weird food combinations and jonathan has this disgusted face he makes whenever argyle brings them up in conversation. god forbid he actually eat them in front of jonathan. (willel make fun of jonathan because even when he gets grossed out, he never says a word to argyle).

argyle is The human heater. jonathan always cuddles him in his sleep even when he tries not to. they could get in a fight and he’d still wake up with his entire body tangled around argyle like a cat.
