You usually have a hard time gaining, did you change anything this time?

Well, I took a much needed break from gaining and ate “normally” for a while. As a result, my weight slowly got down to 208 in March. I think in a lot of ways, this let my body reset.

After that, I just started eating whatever I wanted. The shakes really accelerated the gain, but lately I’m more into eating whatever I’m craving. Quality at quantity.

Anecdotally, I think an optimum gaining pattern occurs in six week sprints, then maintaining for the next four.
