Iceland - well, he wasn’t lying that much, he just gets spooked easily.

With centuries they’ve gotten used to the presence of spiders in their lives, but they all aren’t extremely fond of them.

Denmark doesn’t have a problem with spiders, he usually just ignores them because what can he do? Kill it? And have the corpse lying on the floor? He’d rather leave them alone until Norway comes by and throws them out of the window. And Norway doesn’t tolerate their presence indoors because they disgust him, at times he uses verbal abuse towards them.

Back in the 18th century things looked different. Not fond of admitting it for some reason, that's probably known only to him.
