Amphitrite! And Triton! (I bet the interactions between the two brothers whilst Percy is young and adorable would be gold)

(But btw this isn’t pressure to write it! I just wanted to share how cute I think the idea is, especially in the Bonding verse.)

I’ve been wondering does Poseidon use a merform? Cause I totally remember you mentioning that he can be a mer like his sons and other members of the royal family, but I don’t remember if he usually uses it? Did he keep himself mostly human before Percy’s first transformation to try and make him feel more welcome, but afterwards used his merform more freely around him? And Amphitrite! Does she?

Also what was Poseidon’s initial reaction when seeing Percy’s merform for himself? We saw he got excited when Triton first told him the news but then things got a bit hectic for everyone XD

Yeah Poseidon does in fact have a merform, I'm not exactly sure if I ever mentioned it....meh, time for some mer anatomy that I made up to suit my fic!

In Bonding, in order to accommodate the added mass of twin tails, both of Percy’s merforms make him quite a bit larger than his human form.

And if we use my fictional Bonding logic and I flash you my creative license here *shows you a note card written in crayon* the reason why Poseidon mostly stays in his more human form is because yeah, he wants to make Percy feel as comfortable around him as possible cause his merform is HUGE! LIKE WHALE SIZED!! He doesn't want to scare or intimidate his merbaby! 🥺

But Percy actually loves it and thinks it's really cool! lol one of his favorite things to do while they're both in their merforms is for Poseidon to swim around the ocean with a tiny Percy drifting alongside him echelon style! AKA the cetacean version of infant carrying! 😊💕

I nearly died of cuteness overload imagining it the first time...

*Ahem!* Yes Amphitrite has one too but honestly prefers her human form. Yup, that lady knows exactly what she likes!

As for your final question...I won't say much because I feel as though I'll be spoiling an important future arc 😁 but I can reiterate this:

Poseidon had no idea he was born a merbaby.

And as stated in the extra of Fish Out of Water at the ending, he would've brought Percy straight to Atlantis if he'd known.

Would anyone actually like to read a chapter of Poseidon seeing his merform for the first time??

Hello! I'm not sure how much you can say without giving away spoilers, but I was wondering if Percy will become immortal? (I hope so, for his and Triton's sake) And if so, how and when? Will it be naturally? Like if he somehow has too much godly blood in him? He's already turned into / was born as a merman somehow, which I assume is rare for Poseidon's kids. Thanks!

One of the best things about writing fanfic in general is the fact that you can literally pull anything out of your ass and present it to the world like: LOOK AT THIS WEIRD AND MARVELOUS THING I THOUGHT OF!

Tbh, it's scary sometimes. What if people think my ideas and worldbuilding is weird? Is my idea just plain bad?

When I first thought of having Percy being born a merbaby, I honestly didn't know what the feedback was gonna be like...but oH DAMN YOU GUYS LOVED IT JUST AS MUCH AS I DID!

In Bonding, I will have Percy be the first demigod son of Poseidon to be born a merbaby! In Leo's words, he's just built different lol

The other Olympians were just as shocked when they first saw him in the council room. On Poseidon's orders, Triton brought Percy straight up to Olympus to present his 'new' form to his Father and Zeus.

Poseidon was being impatient af in the inner chambers with his brothers and Zeus was just fed up with him straight up ignoring him 😂 he was like: Since you have other things on your mind, we might as well see what the big news is all about! 😤

Hades totes called him out on his bullshit and was like: Shaddup just say you wanna see him too. 😏

When he saw his son, Poseidon was absolutely smitten and overcome with joy! 🥰 he held him in his huge palms and everything!

I have decided that I will in fact write that snippet out for you lovely ducks to read! It will have A LOT of cooing from Poseidon and Triton being an overprotective af big brother!

The first thing I read outta that was 'hurt Percy' and my mind automatically went to 'Overprotective Triton Mode' lol

Athena hurting Percy to provoke a reaction from Triton isn't something I see happening in Bonding; though it is such a juicy prompt...

I'm pretty neutral when it comes to PJO Athena, so something of this nature would be definitely be amusing to write. I may post a drabble of it here, so keep your eyes peeled!
