Acrobatics, Arcana?
Acrobatics - Have your players ever made you have to quickly rework/improvise an entire adventure?
You little shit, you know what you did C<
My players (coughcough @necromancy-savant @rebelagainstauthority and others without tumblrs) somehow managed to forget about their main quest, giving the bad guys a dragon with which to trigger their evil plot to destroy the capitol city in the process. Thanks to this, I ended up having to scrap two in-progress side quests to skip straight to the final town and battle of the campaign, which I only had a skeleton map ready for. It ended up being fun and awesome, but at the time I was just astonished that they managed to so thoroughly catch me off guard.
Arcana - What is your most crazy/insane/bizarre tabletop experience?
Oh god, we’ve had so many. I think the winner still goes to before I was DMing our group, though. Our alcoholic pirate rogue drank a potion that grew her to be 20 feet tall, busting her out of her clothes. She then proceeded to drunkely sit on a tavern, draw a lich to use her ass as a portal to the boss dungeon, and then fistfight an adolescent green dragon, all while being buck-ass naked.
If I had to pick one from when I was DMing though, I’d choose the emotion bombs. They were enchanted incense that, when burned, would influence the emotions of whoever inhaled the smoke. A bad guy weaponized this by throwing an angry bomb and trying to get away while the group argued. The group then engaged in one of the best instances of in-character RP I’d ever seen… just yelling, pounding the tables, it was so intense and I loved it.
