So I was wondering. What's your thoughts on Sonic FC's with mental illness (Depression, anxiety, schizophrenia etc.), do they seem acceptable if provided with rational reasons? Because the Sonic fandom is filled with UUGH-MY-CHARACTER-IS-INSANE-THEY-KILL-EVERYONE-THEY-ARE-EVIIIIL Mary-sue characters

I mean, I wish I had some good profound thoughts I could add but a character having a disability/mental illness isn’t a problem.  Just don’t make the character be an ass of what is a legitimate mental illness.

Research, research, research, research!

The foundation of good character building and good story telling is suspension of disbelieve, and along with that comes research! I cannot stress enough that if you’re bringing real-world elements into your FC, do your research and do it well!

Find articles where people talk about their experiences with their illness, read psychology books, find whatever info you can that’s credible and apply your inner writer!

General Question because my curiosity is piqued. Is this blog still alive and are you still doing reviews?

I’ve been doing quite a couple posts here and there.  I try to answer them when I can, but I need submissions to be able to do posts.  I’ve gone to switch to more peer reviews instead of just admin reviews.  I’ll give a small comment talking about things I like or dislike though.

Speaking of that, you still haven't answered my question, but in case you don't remember, can I join without a Skype? I don't have one and I don't think it's necessary since we have PMing here on Tumblr.

Skype isn’t necessary.  Just HIGHLY preferred.  Although I don’t get on skype anymore so.

Is it necessary to put our real name for the admin application?

Maybe not the REAL name, but at least your internet surname.  A real name is appreciated, but not required.

If we want to submit a fc for a review, do we use the 'submit us some good fcs' button and then the 'character reviews' tag? Sorry, im new to Tumblr

Do we need to resubmit our characters if we've already been waiting?

Yes.  It’s been so long I figured people would have changed a bit of their designs by now.  It wouldn’t make sense to critique someone’s old design that they don’t use anymore

Hey guys, just wanted to tell you the bios don't actually mesh well. Like, if you go to Pastebin, the bio is for the updated version of Ruby who is a raccoon now. I don't think it's a problem critiquing the hedgehog version's design though, Shiro might be able to get something out of this, whether that be the decision to change her back to a hedgehog, or just a design choice. If you'd like, I can give you the link to her new design.

Actually since you point it out I’m going to clear out the inbox entirely.  Sorry to anyone who wanted a review I think it might just make more sense to start fresh with this
