hiya i would love to play the sims but i'm not sure what laptop to get i'd love to play sims 3 and 4 with a ton of cc your game looks perfect and amazing could you recommend any good ones what make is your laptop or desktop
Aww, thank you so much! That’s so good to hear! ;u;
I don’t have a lot of experience with Sims 4 and how it runs or CC since I only had it for like two days after it came out but, in terms of Sims 3 I can give you a little info I hope!
My laptop, where I play my RLC, is ONLY base game with no expansions (but a few stuff packs) so that I can get it to run even close to what my PC can do. It’s also got a lot less CC. This is all because laptops (in general) are more heavily taxed while playing graphics intensive video games like this unless you’ve got a super expensive gaming laptop at your disposal. There are, however, a bunch of people with beautiful games that only have a normal laptop but, sadly, I am not one of them so I can’t help you with their secrets there!
Where my desktop is concerned, I have all the expansions but none of the stuff packs :o I make up for all that with an absolute mess of CC though, hahaha I usually browse for most of my CC HERE (or on other cc finds blogs) just looking through related tags for what I want. If there’s something in specific I want, I just google it till I find something close to what I needed. That said, if there’s something specific that you saw in my game that you really liked, feel free to ask me and I’ll get back to you on it as soon as I can! :)
On both of them, I run my settings on the highest for every category except render distance (lowest), reflections (off I think), and tree detail (which is like medium or something). Edge smoothing is also something in the middle I believe. Like this, they run smooth enough for me to play with only minor instances of lag which aren’t a big deal to me.
Now, on to specs.
For my laptop:
HP TouchSmart tm2Intel Core i3 Processor @ 1.20 GHz4.00 GB RAM64-bitIntegrated Graphics Chip –> Intel HD Graphics (1696 MB Memory)Runs Windows 7
For my PC:
Acer Aspire ZS600Intel Core i3 Processor @ 3.30 GHz6.00 GB RAM64-bitIntegrated Graphics Chip –> Intel HD Graphics (1792 MB Memory)Runs Windows 10 (used to run 8/8.1)
As you can see, neither of them are quite built for gaming but they both work perfectly for my needs. :)
If you already have a laptop/desktop, I recommend running Sims ¾ on that and seeing if it works for you. If you find yourself really enjoying the game and wanting to upgrade to a better system after that then go for it! For now you can just test it out–maybe you’ll find that your current system is perfect for you in terms of what you want!
Good luck! And if you have any other questions, I’d be happy to answer them for you! <3
