Quick!! Don't think about cross taking killer to a pacifist au to show him the surface, killer insisting the whole time he's seen the human world before because nightmare's sent them there for jobs, but cross keeps insisting he has to come for this one. and then when they get there it's at night, and killer gets to look up at see the stars for the first time, and cross gets to watch him actually stunned into silence for probably the first time since they met, and they spend almost the whole night there just laying in the grass watching the stars and pointing out constellations

Killer just can't help but look up in awe and disbelief. Has he ever seem so many starts like this before? Cross watches him for a while before gently making him sit down while Killer is still fixated on looking up.
They eventually lay down and Cross gets to hear Killer ramble about all the things he knows about the sky and the constellations, knowing it was one of his hyperfixations.
He gets to also watch the sunrise and slowly fall asleep in Cross's arms, the good boy soldier taking him back home and tucking him in, only to be pulled into the bed by a sleeping Killer and having no choice but to cuddle there with him.
It is Horror who finds them when Nightmare asks him to check on them because they skipped breakfast and lunch!
