Have you watched Assassination Classroom or Noragami? Both have manga and anime. The Noragami manga is still ongoing though but Assassination Classroom is finished. If you're looking for something shorter Death Parade is a nice but sad series.

I have read and watched Assassination Classroom! It was really nice! It got me really teared up at the ending ;A; Also I ship Karasuma and Irina so hard! I think I drew them once. They got me on roller coaster of feels. I watched the 2nd season JUST FOR THE DEATH REAPER ARC BECAUSE KARASUMA AND IRINA UGH. (And then I died when they are actually married by the manga ending TuT)

I read Noragami too! But I haven’t continued reading again. I think last time was when Bishamonten got that new cursed Shinki, and then I forgot to pick it up again. How is it now?

As for Death Parade… oh gosh. Yes, I watched all the episodes when they were airing. Who needs heart anyway………….. (the one got me most is the killer brother sobs)

I used Adobe Photoshop CS3! Aside from 2 different drawings (day and night), I also created separate drawings for each frame. And then combined them all together in one animation :D

Aaw sorry to disappoint you but it’s not based on any fanfic. That piece of scraps writing under the read more was written by me, just a short idea I got when drawing it :)

People are free to expand or create fanfic from it though! ^^
