Ooo, for a prompt, maybe Paz repairing something for someone, if I may? =) Thank you for your time!
Thank you for this. I might end up adding more to this down the road.. but I needed this. <3
You hadn’t seen Paz in years. It wasn’t that you were mad or upset with him. Quite the opposite. He was someone you considered to be one of your closest friend regardless of how long it took for him to show up at your door. Sure, there was part of you that always wanted him to be more but the ideals he held were so steadfast you never thought it was possible. So, you were always a roof over his head and a friendly smile when he needed it.
With his lifestyle, it meant that you likely wouldn’t see him often. Part of you knew that someday he would just stop showing up but.. that was far too painful to think. Regardless of how long it had been, you couldn’t bring yourself to accept that he wouldn’t come back.
When you walked up to your small home, you noticed that there was a light on inside that you didn’t leave on. That was something you always made sure of; no wasting of the energy you had access to.
Someone was in your home.
You pulled your blaster after quietly setting down your bag near the door. With a deep breath, you pulled the door open slowly, pulling your blaster up knowing that it was going to be loud as the hinges squeaked. When they didn’t you glanced down but started moving forward slowly. You left the door open and took a few steps in but dropped your arm as soon as the blue armor came into view.
“Paz?”
The man turned around, his visor looking at you. Your face broke into a smile and you sighed.
“Stars, Paz. You scared the hell out of me.”
He stood up and walked to you, pulling you into a bone crushing hug. You hugged him back and laughed as he set you back on your feet.
“Sorry to scare you, mesh’la. I must have gotten here soon after you left for the day.”
“You could have come to town and gotten me.”
“I uhm.. not really a good idea. I need to lay low and I was really hoping..”
“You are always welcome here. Come sit with me and tell me how you’ve been for the last few years.”
“Mind if we sit at the table. I’ve been kind of fixing.. well.. everything while I waited.”
“Ah, so you’re the reason my door didn’t squeak.”
“Guilty.”
You gave him a huge smile and sat next to him at the table. He was tinkering with your larger comms device. It has been broken for as long as you could remember but right before your eyes it turned on and beeped. For some reason, it made you so happy seeing Paz sit in front of you fixing the things in your life that had been broken.
“You know you could have just sat here without fixing everything right?”
“Wanted to keep my hands busy.”
You finally looked at his armor and saw all the dings and burn marks on it. Tentatively you reached out and touched a particularly nasty mark on his chest plate. He balled his hands into fists, so you went to pull away, but he grabbed your wrist, keeping you in place.
“No, don’t.. please don’t be afraid of me. It’s just… been a rough few days.”
“You’re okay. Do you.. want to talk about it?”
“No, but you deserve to know why I’m here.”
“You don’t-“
“They’re all gone. All of them.”
“Your clan?”
He nodded once, shifting his hand so it was on top of yours, holding it gently to his chest.
“It was the guild. The fucking Imps wanted a child and our bounty hunter went and got him.”
“A child!?”
“He didn’t.. didn’t know it was a child when he went there. He got the reward then realized he made a mistake. He was an ugly little thing, but he didn’t deserve whatever the Imps want to do to him. But the guild doesn’t care about right and wrong.”
“This is how your armor got beat up?”
“Yeah, and how I lost everyone. I got out of there and just.. didn’t know where else to go. This could put heat on you, mesh’la. I don’t think the guild will come looking for me but-“
“It’s been years since you’ve been here. I doubt anyone even knows who I am. You’re safe here. And look I know you’re this big tough warrior, but everyone deserves a safe place to be.”
“Thank you. You’ve always been kind to me.”
“That’s what friends are for, right? I know that your creed is important to you, so anytime you need space or time to be alone just tell me. I’ll get to work on cleaning out the spare room for you. It can be yours for as long as you want it.”
His hand closed around yours and he brought his forehead to it, resting it against the back of your hand.
“I don’t deserve you or your kindness. But I appreciate it. How can I repay you?”
“No need.”
“Please. I can’t just stay here and not repay you.”
“Well, you already fixed a ton of stuff for me. I could use some help keeping things running around here.”
“Anything. Just tell me and I will fix it. I’ll move things or carry things. I just..”
“Don’t worry, Paz. Please don’t worry. We will figure it out. Until then, just relax. You can have the bedroom if you want. Why don’t you go take a shower and relax for a while? The door locks so you can rest assured I won’t try to come in.”
“I trust you, mesh’la. I don’t think I would be here if I didn’t.”
“Well, I’m glad you’re here Paz. You’re safe here and you will be able to rest up for as long as you want.”
You stood and looked up at him as he stood as well. He moved forward and gently put his hands on your upper arms.
“I’m sorry it took so long for me to come back.”
You smiled and shook your head.
“You have a lot of time to make it up to me.”
“Yeah, I do. That is exactly what I plan to do.”

Congratulations on 200! If you're interested and inspired, I'd love a little something about Cabur and Paz's life post chapter 8. I just love them ❤
Thank you so much! I feel terrible this took so long but I was so swamped with school work haha. I was going to write some little blurbs but this idea popped into my head the other night when I was trying to fall asleep. This isn’t beta’d or read through a ton so if there are any mistakes I am sorry!
10 Years
Paring: Paz x reader
Rating: Explicit because that’s how Paz and Cabur are.
Story: Cabur
Warning: fluff. A bit of spiciness but it didn’t get really descriptive. Fear. Honestly, I cried writing part of it. I’m sure you’ll guess what part. I’m pretty sure this counts as angst? Yeah probably. I wrote it.
You rushed into the main meeting room only to skid to a stop. Din was sitting at the head of the stable but everyone else was absent.
“What is going on? I thought we had a meeting?”
“I canceled it.”
“You.. canceled it? I thought this had to do with some really important stuff? Like epically important?”
“It can wait. Everyone else had places that they needed to be so we will just wait. You’re actually needed in the shipyard anyway.”
“The shipyard? Did something break down?”
“No. Your husband needs you to go on a mission with him.”
You looked at him and put one hand on your hip.
“A mission? We aren’t warriors anymore, Din.”
“I know. You somehow domesticated my bullhead of a brother into a school teacher. You have to go through. I’m pretty sure I can manage without you for a while.”
You huffed and set the datapad down on the table.
“If you say so. What stuff do I need?”
“Paz has it taken care of.”
“And why am I just finding out about this?”
“Ask your husband. Not my wheelhouse, prudii.”
You puffed out another sigh and turned, leaving Din alone. You walked down the great halls until you finally made it outside, orienting yourself towards the shipyard. It had been hard work, but Mandalore was finally beautiful again like it should be.
Once you made it to the shipyard, it was easy to find Paz. He was standing at the end of the ramp of his newer ship. He hadn’t wanted something new, but Leia had insisted on something more reliable since you had to visit her often for negotiations.
“There is my love.”
“There is my husband who apparently has been keeping a mission from me.”
He smirked at you and pulled you close, bumping his forehead against yours. You smiled as the sound of beskar rang out around you.
“We don’t have time to wait though. Get in your seat and you will find out everything as it’s time to do so.”
You huffed but knew he wasn’t going to budge. Once you climbed into the cockpit and strapped yourself in, you pulled your helmet off and looked back as Paz made he way to his seat.
“Sit tight, mesh’la. It won’t take us too long.”
XXX
When the ship landed and you walked down the ramp, you instantly knew where you were. The smell hit you which filled you with so many conflicting emotions. On one hand, it felt like a home that you forgot you had. On the other, the pain of the memories felt like the weight of the galaxy on your chest.
“Come with me, mesh’la.”
You looked up at Paz but nodded. You trusted him with everything you had. If he was bringing you back to this place there had to be a reason for it. You listened to the wildlife and the sound of the breeze blowing through the trees around you. You thought it was interesting that it looked exactly the same but absolutely different all at once. When you finally made it to the clearing your muscles remembered the path to, you stopped as soon as you made it past the trees.
“It still looks the same. It’s been so long.”
“Some things just last.”
Paz walked past you, carrying two bags over his shoulder. You watched him and thought back to the first time you saw him walk into the clearing. It felt like an eternity since that had happened. You followed your husband up the steps into the building and smiled fully at everything.
“Paz, this place is spotless. How did you manage this?”
“Doesn’t matter. What matters is that we have things to do.”
“We just got here.”
“I am well aware of that, mesh’la. That hardly matters. We will have time to relax here just not now.”
He dropped the bags down and head back out the door without any explanation. You let out an exasperated sigh and followed, rolling your eyes under your helmet. It took you a few paces to catch up to him but once you did you realized he was heading back towards where the village used to be. You grabbed his arm and skid to a stop.
“Paz, I don’t want to go back there.”
“We need to.”
“No. No I can’t.. I can’t go back there. Please.”
He turned to face you, looking down like he always had to. He used his fingers to tilt your head up so you were facing him, having done it a thousand times with your helmet on so he knew your eyes were on him.
“Do you trust me?”
“With my life.”
“Then trust me.”
“Ni ganar chaabar.” (I am afraid.)
“Ni Kelir gotal'ur gar morut'yc. Ni cuy' staabi olar ti gar. Ratiin.” (I will keep you safe. I am right here. Always.)
You nodded and let him turn, leading the way the rest of the way down the road. The only sounds that you could focus on was the crunching of your boots on the ground. You kept your eyes trained on Paz as he came to a stop right where the road opened up.
You placed your hand on your chest plate, biting your bottom lip to stop the tears from falling. You felt Paz place his arm on you arm but your eyes were trained forward.
“I wanted you to see this, mesh’la.”
“I don’t understand.”
What you expected to be devastation and ruin, was instead beautiful buildings and people walking around care free. You watched children scream and laugh as they chased each other, almost knocking over a few adults in the process.
“Leia heard of this place when she heard your story. She sent resources here and helped the people that were still left behind. A lot more people got away than we thought. So now they have rebuilt. There are people who enjoy life and are safe. There are children who learn and will grow old. No one will be hurt like they were before. No one is alone.”
“Paz I.. I don’t know what to say.”
“Come. The village elders want to see you.”
He led you down the streets slowly as you looked at everything. It felt like a dream to see the place prospering and so full of life. Once you reached the elders building you were met by smiling faces.
“Our Cabur has returned.”
You stifled an inhale as you realized you recognized the faces in front of you.
“You.. you’re alive.”
“Because of you, my dear. When your riduur contacted us and sent help, we had to see you again. Thank you, Cabur, for taking care of the children who had no one. Thank you for eliminating the threat that nearly destroyed us.”
“I thought you all died. I thought I failed.”
“No, my dear, you are the very reason why we are standing here today. You have rebuilt more than Mandalore, Cabur. Your love and compassion has reached across the galaxy. I am so glad that you are getting to see that.”
XXX
After spending the day with the village, you and Paz made your way back to the home you had lived in for so long. Once you were inside you pulled your helmet off and walked to him, pulling his off as well. He smiled down at you as you looked in his eyes.
“Paz, I can never thank you enough for this. For everything.”
“I knew how much this place meant to you. You did everything to keep this place safe and I saw all the pain and worry every time you thought something was going to go wrong on Mandalore. This place haunted you. The very least I could do was show you that you did made a difference.”
“You could have just told me.”
“Or I could whisk you across the galaxy and spend our anniversary together the same way that we started it.”
Your face fell as you dropped your hands from his chest.
“Our.. Oh stars Paz I am so sorry. I have been so busy and I-”
“Stop. You have always been terrible at remembering dates. You help my brother run an entire civilization. Let me take care of the dates and anniversaries. Yes?”
You nodded and let your shoulders relax. Paz put his hands on your arms and smiled fully. He started pulling your armor off, setting it gently on the counter. You hummed and shut your eyes, basking in the intimacy of him taking your armor off of you.
“Why don’t you go take a shower. I’ll get food ready.”
“You’re too good to me, you know?”
He kissed your forehead and turned you towards the refresher, pushing you gently.
“Go, love.”
XXX
You wrapped the towel around yourself once you were done and looked in the mirror. Your face had aged since the last time you looked at your reflection in that spot. For a moment you wondered if Paz could still love you even though you weren’t the young bullheaded warrior you used to be. Before you could let your mind wander too far you laughed at yourself.
There was never a day that Paz didn’t make you feel loved and cherished. No matter what was going on, he was your best friend.
“Mesh’la, did you drown in there?”
You smiled and walked out with the towel still wrapped around your torso. Paz was placing a bowl of fruit down on the table in front of the couch and grinned at you. He had pulled his own armor off, leaving him in his black under shirt and pants.
“You act like you’ve never seen me before.”
He walked to you, pulling you into his arms.
“You are just as beautiful as you were the first day you walked out in a towel.”
“You’re a sap, sweetheart.”
“For you.”
He carried you over to the couch, setting you down gently before sitting down and propping your legs on his lap so he could be closer.
“Shouldn’t I go get dressed?”
“Sometimes you say the craziest things.”
You giggled at him and looked over at the bowl of fruit.
“Is that fresh?”
“Picked just for you.”
He plucked a piece of the fruit from the bowl and to your surprise, brought it to your lips. You gently took it into your mouth and smiled as he sucked the juice off his own thumb, pulling it from his mouth with a pop. He continued feeding your pieces, playfully running the fruit along your lips every few pieces, watching you use your tongue to catch the juice.
“Aren’t you going to eat any of it?”
“Hmm, guess I probably should.”
You smirked and got up, moving so you were straddling his waist. You grabbed a piece of the fruit and mimicked how he was feeding you. After the second piece of fruit, he took the bowl from you, setting it gently on the table next to him. Next he pulled off your towel, completely exposing you.
“You didn’t each much fruit.”
“I much prefer you.”
“I’m not fruit.”
“Could have fooled me.”
He reached up, lacing his hand through your hair and pulling your head forward to kiss you. His other hand gripped your waist as he pulled you flush against him. When you pulled away to let yourself breathe he looked up at you with lust blown eyes.
“I still will never know what I did to deserve a woman like you. I thank the stars every day that you not only forgave me but chose me as the one you would love.”
“You’re an easy man to love, Paz.”
“I haven’t always been.”
“No, but I wasn’t exactly an easy woman to love at that point either.”
“I disagree. You’ve always been incredible. Every time I think you couldn’t possibly be more or do more, you prove me wrong. I have been blessed to have you by my side. Anyone that is in your life is lucky to have you.”
You bit back a smile and placed your hands on each side of his face.
“You’re a sap, Paz Vizsla.”
“And you love it.”
“Hmm. Maybe.”
“Maybe?” he growled out.
You let out a giggle as he stood, letting you wrap your legs around his waist. He walked directly into the room that you had built for him all that time ago, tossing you down on his bed. You propped yourself up on your elbows as he pulled his shirt off, revealing his body that you loved to stare at.
“I hope you never stop looking at me like that.”
“Don’t think that’s possible.”
He grinned as he pulled his pants off, climbing up onto the bed between your legs. You smiled up at him when he braced his arms on each side of your head. He was always so imposing but he never scared you.
“I love you, mesh’la.”
“I love you too, Paz.”
He crashed his lips to yours while he shifted himself so he was slotted at your entrance. You smiled against his lips and pulled your leg up to wrap around him, letting him glide into you with ease. He groaned once he was fully seated in you and sighed.
“Stars you feel so good, mesh’la. It’s like you were made for me. It’s like your body was made just for me.”
“I feel the same way. There’s no other explanation. The galaxy made you to fit perfectly with me.”
He nodded and kissed you again. You whimpered as he started to slowly roll his hips into you. There had been times when sex with Paz was rushed or full of furious passion. This wasn’t one of them. He was showing you how much he loved and cherished you. He worshiped your body as he made love to you in a way only he could.
When you were younger, the only thing you thought could mean this much was fighting. The movements and dancing around the fighting mat were poetic to you. But nothing in the galaxy compared to the way that you and Paz moved together.
You loved him and it showed in the way your body responded to his touch. Time and time again he showed you how much you meant to him, so you showed him the same any time your hands were on him.
The only thing that mattered was you and him.
The night was spent making love and talking about the past. Thinking about the past and talking about everything you had been through didn’t hurt like it had before you found out about the village. Something in you had healed. Your husband had helped you yet again heal when you didn’t think it was possible.
You knew without a doubt that everything you had been through had been worth it if you could feel the type of love that you shared with Paz. The galaxy was a giant place filled with things that could very well hurt you, but you knew as long as you were in Paz’s arms you were safe.
I've really been into soft lately and I saw a couple soft prompts that I really like because they're about admiration and Paz can say them to Cabur and vise versa.
I feel like I could watch you all day. Everything you do has a touch of magic to it.
I sometimes wish you could see yourself through my eyes.
Please don't feel obligated to write anything if you don't feel inspired.
Paring: Female!reader (Cabur) x Paz Vizsla
Rating: Uh, teen maybe? Nothing explicit.
Warnings: Fluff. Like your teeth are rotting out this is so sweet fluff.
AN: I'm gonna try to do this without any angst. Let's see if I am capable of it. (Okay I kind of failed there was a touch of angst in there but not between our two favorite love birds)
Your least favorite part of your job was going different places to meet with new groups. Din wanted all Mandalorian to feel welcome on Mandalore and that was a chore in and of itself. He trusted you the most to be able to work through any situation that could arise and knew you were more than competent in taking care of yourself should you need to. That didn't stop Paz from putting everything on hold to make sure he went with you. Part of you was annoyed that it seemed like he didn't trust you to take care of yourself, but Din reminded you that you would be with him if the roles were reversed.
Paz stood in the back of the meeting hall with his arms crossed over his chest. Any time voices were raised towards you, your eyes glanced over to make sure he didn't have his blaster drawn. Most of the meetings were calm but there were a few of the leaders of different clans that were defensive about needing to follow a Mandalore that they had never met.
"I understand your hesitance. The Mandalorian have been driven apart time and time again. All I am asking is that you send delegation to the planet. You can see first hand the work we have put into rebuilding our planet so that all Mandalorian can thrive the way we should be."
"And how do we know this isn't a trap? You're a child of the watch."
"A child of the watch that is here asking for peace. You think I would have sat down with you if I wanted war? Don't mistake my civility as weakness. I am a warrior just as you are."
"I can't even see your face."
"No. There are only two people in this galaxy that can see my face because I choose to live my life that way. I do not think less of you for taking your helmet off. I ask for that same respect."
The warrior stood up but his partners hand shot out, grabbing his arm. He instantly sat down and looked at them. You had known the warrior in question wasn't the one in charge but hadn't quite put your mind to recognizing the smaller pregnant Mando next to him was in charge.
"Do you have children?"
You nodded once and relax back into your chair.
"I do. A daughter. My riduur and I took her in when her village was attacked."
"Does your clan respect foundlings?"
"They are our greatest asset. There is no future without them. Our Mandalore risked his entire life and creed to protect his foundling. He didn't fight to take the dark saber for power; he was protecting his ad'ika."
Their leader nodded once and sat back.
"It is decided then. I will go. I trust that you are comfortable with me bringing an escort."
"You may bring the entire clan if it was what you want. We only want you to see what we have created and offer you all a place there."
The warrior huffed but stood up to help his partner. She motioned for him to leave with everyone else, staying in front of you.
"You risked your life coming here."
"I understand that."
"Is that why your guard has been staring at you the entire time?"
You laughed and nodded, smiling under your helmet at Paz.
"That is Paz Vizsla, my riduur."
She turned and gave Paz a soft smile which was met with a nod. She turned back to you and placed her hand on her belly.
"I will be honest, part of me is being selfish with going to see the planet."
"Is there something wrong?"
"I am force sensitive. I always have been but I had people who could help train me. I was trained to keep it quiet and hidden away. I don't want that for her."
"You know it's a girl?"
"I do. I can feel her thoughts just like she can feel mine. I have heard rumor you have a Jedi temple there."
You nodded and smiled.
"Our Mandalore has a foundling that is force sensitive. He sent him away with the Jedi to be trained so he would be safe. We arranged to have the temple moved to our city so that families could still be connected with this children, regardless if they follow our creed or not."
"That is wonderful."
"I can arrange for you to meet with Master Skywalker on your visit. Although I am sure he will sense the moment you touch down. Force sensitives are welcome there. Everyone is that believes in our cause."
"Thank you. Let me show you to your lodging for the night. No need to leave right away. It's been a long day."
You nodded and followed the woman, Paz moving to walk next to you. He gently touched his hand on the small of your back making you look up at him. Even without seeing him, you just knew he was smiling down at you. The leader stopped in front of a large tent and smiled at both of you.
"There is food, supplies and a fire set up for you. Please let anyone you find know if you need something. We can hash out the final preparations for our visit in the morning. I'd like to follow you back if that is okay."
"Sounds wonderful."
You walked into the tent and sighed as Paz shut the flaps and tied them shut. He walked over to you and pulled your helmet off, cupping the side of your face.
"I am exhausted."
"You did wonderfully, mesh'la."
"I feel like I argued all day."
"You did but for the right cause. I'm not sure I could have stayed that calm with that di'kut spouting his mouth off constantly."
You huffed out another sigh and sat down on the edge of the bed, putting your face in your hands.
"What is wrong, ner riddur?"
"This just feels hopeless. Every time we find more of our people it is just a fight to move on from he past."
"Is that what you think is happening?"
"I know it is. I'm exhausted from all of it."
"That isn't what I see. I see you fighting for a cause that you believe in. I see you building a future for all the children, even the ones not born yet. You're one of the strongest warriors I know and yet here you are using your words to bring us all together. I feel like I could watch you all day. Everything you do has a touch of magic to it."
He pulled your hands off your face and you saw that he no longer had his helmet on now that he was kneeling in front of you. You smiled at him and let yourself relax slightly.
"I sometimes wish you could see yourself through my eyes."
"I probably wouldn't like what I see."
"Impossible, ner kar'taylir darasuum" (my love)
"Wonder if the other warriors would be as afraid of you if they knew what a sap you are."
"A sap that would rip them to pieces just for looking at you wrong."
You smiled fully as he leaned in to kiss you. Once he pulled away you started to pull his armor off, stacking it neatly at the end of the bed. He watched you intently, a soft smile on his face until you both had your armor off.
"Let's get some sleep."
"How about you lay down so I can bring you some food. Then we can lay in this giant bed together until you fall asleep."
You hummed playfully and made a face like you were thinking.
"I guess that is okay."
"You guess? That's how it is?"
You giggled as he picked up you and tossed you back down on the bed making you laugh even harder.
"Just lay there, ad'ika. Let me take care of you."
Paz and Boba are both gay. Fuck off with more female reader self insert shit
Aww anon hate messages 😂
I am personally a female reader who identifies as a woman. So I write what I know. However, I am sure there are tons of writers out there that write what you’re looking for! If anyone reading this has some awesome recs for stories or authors that may be fitting this anons preference, feel free to tag them so they can get some love! Plus I’m always down for new reading material 😊
If you’re looking to avoid female inserts or AFAB inserts you can actually block those tags so you don’t have to see them anymore.
Maii! How about a fluffy sequel to Until We Meet Again with Paz bringing Cabur home and taking care of her and her wounds <3 Maybe he's got some scratches, too, though, but is ignoring them, but Cabur won't have it xD (Also, congratz on finishing the semester successfully! :D)
You got it!!
Stubborn Spitfire of a Woman
You hardly remember the trip back. Exhaustion wasn’t even a strong enough word. Your body hurt which would normally keep you up, but sleep was far more important. Paz hadn’t let you go, holding you close to him the entire trip.
You did start to wake up when the ship landed but didn’t bother focusing in on the two men talking. Paz held you close and stood, walking into the building directly to your room. You tried to turn your head to look for Lahta but Paz stopped you.
“Please stop moving until I know you’re alright. I had Din call ahead to keep Lahta away. I didn’t want her to see you like this.”
“Smart.”
He chuckled and carried you to the bed, gently setting you down. Paz pulled your helmet off and sighed at the shape of your face while he pulled his own off.
“How is it you’re wearing the strongest metal in existence and you still get hurt so badly.”
“It’s my secret power.”
You laughed and groaned, grabbing at your side.
“Please stop.”
He moved gently and carefully, taking off every piece of your armor. Once each piece was removed, he set it gently on the table near your bed. You wanted to tell him that you were fine. You could take off your own armor. The intimacy of him taking care of you and your armor was something you couldn’t ask him to stop though. He removed everything and slipped off your clothes. You winced when you had to move, and he told you over and over to let him take care of you.
“This isn’t the first time I’ve been hurt, Paz.”
“I know. I remember you almost dying in front of me before.”
“Hey. Look at me, please?”
You took his hands in yours while he looked up at you.
“This isn’t like then.”
“No. It’s worse. At least last time I was there. If I had been even a minute later I-“
“You weren’t. You made it. I’m here now. I can take care of myself, Paz.”
“Is it so bad that I want to take care of you?”
You finally shook your head and laid back, letting him tend to your wounds. His gentle touch felt good, even when he was pressing on wounds. Once he finished putting on bacta he gave you a shot of pain medication which knocked you out almost immediately. It wasn’t a very restful sleep, but your body needed it. You could hear sounds in your haze until they became annoying enough you opened your eyes.
The lights were dimmed which was wonderful for your aching head. Eventually you turned your head to the side to see Paz meticulously cleaning your armor. The clanking had been the metal hitting together as he moved it.
“You didn’t need to clean that.”
“I know. I just wanted to keep my hands busy while you slept. Are you feeling any better?”
“I’m sore.”
He stood up and walked over, gently scooping you up. Once he got you into the shower, he turned the hot water on and stepped away to take his own clothes off. The hot water felt wonderful on your body and you hummed at the sensation. Paz stepped into the shower, so you opened your eyes and instantly frowned.
“Who did this?”
You touched the bruises and cuts on his body and neck. He shook his head, but you wouldn’t let him move.
“Took a few shots coming to get you. I’m fine.”
“Like hell, you’re fine!”
When you tried to check him for more wounds he chuckled and gently grabbed your wrists.
“Cyare, I am okay. I already checked them. Let’s get you clean so we can go lay down. Now that I know you’re okay, I’m exhausted.”
“Fine. But if I wake up and they’re still there I’m kicking your ass.”
He rolled his eyes, so you slapped his chest playfully. He bent down and kissed you, wrapping an arm around your waist.
“I’m sorry that you had to fight for so long without me.”
“I promise, I’m okay. You don’t need to worry.”
“I will always worry about you.”
Paz meticulously made sure that you were clean, gently turning you under the stream of water. When you both were done and had towels wrapped around you, he carried you back into the bedroom. You tried to grab clothes, but he stopped you, helping you get into one of his shirts that was far too big for you. He smiled down at you and kissed your forehead.
“Do you need help getting into bed?”
“No.”
You groaned and hissed at the movement but climbed into the closest side of the bed. He plopped onto the other side and laid down, leaving his arm out for you to curl into his side. Once you nestled in, you sighed and let your eyes shut as he wrapped his arm around you.
“I didn’t need you to take care of me.”
“I know.”
“I don’t need anyone.”
“I know.”
“Thank you for doing it anyway.”
“Until we take our last breaths, cyare. There will never be a time that I won’t take care of you.”
“I know. And I’ll be taking care of your injuries. Just as soon as I wake up.”
You let out a soft yawn and Paz chuckled.
“Okay, warrior, as soon as you wake up.”
You nestled in more and started to feel yourself slipping into a deep sleep.
“Goodnight, my stubborn spitfire of a woman. I’ll never leave your side again.”
I read mutual agreement by @zinzinina and somehow smashed it together in my head with your pet series, with different reader charakters. And it makes so much sense in my head because in the first one, reader would die before she reunited with boba (I mean the ANGST potential. Immaculate) and boba thought she just never bothered coming for him. And then he got himself a Pet and slowly but surely opened up a bit. Mostly to himself.
I love both series to death because holy shit. And I hope non of you are bothered by this and my apologise if it does.
I have been following @zinzinina for a LONG time so absolutely no offense my part at all. Her work is just *chef kiss*.
Oh anon, neither Boba nor Paz have disclosed their sexuality, so you're incorrect in your assertion that they're gay.
Paz spoke like what three lines? And if he did come out and say he’s gay then awesome! Same with Boba. But I’m still gonna think they’re hot af. In the end, these fictional characters aren’t going to make me their pet or take my helmet off to save my life, thus forcing me to exile as a Mandalorian or marry him. A girl can fantasize though 😂
Hi Mai! You said you had request open so I wanted to ask, if you'd write a little Paz x Reader cuddle fluff? Maybe they've been crushing on each other for a while now, but neither made a move, so when their mutual friends organize a movie night, they "miraculously" end up sitting beside each other on the couch and eventually cuddle up and it's so comfy they fall asleep? (PS: I loved the last Hypnotic chapter! I can see a rollercoaster coming up and dragging me with it and I'm here for it xD )
Alright I am HERE for this ask. It was rainy all day today and I want movie cuddles so badly! Here is 1.5 almost 1.6K of awkward pining with movies and Din being a di’kut. (Also, I am so glad you like Hypnotic! I really enjoy writing Obi Wan even though I didn’t think I would! And yes. You know my writing well enough to know that the rollercoaster is ALREADY IN MOTION AND THERE IS NO GETTING AWAY! XD)
Warnings: awkward. like these two are SUPER AWKWARD. Cuddles. There was only one couch.
“And I just don’t understand. I mean we spend so much time together!”
“Well, have you just told him that you like him?”
“Are you kidding me? No! What if he laughs at me or something?”
“Laughs at you. Of all the mando around here you’re afraid that behemoth of a man will laugh at you?”
You shrug and fall back onto your bed, covering your face. Your friend rolls her eyes and gives up for the time being.
---
“A what night?”
“A movie night.”
Paz turned to look at his brother and crossed his arms.
“What the hell is a movie night.”
“I don’t know. Something that the local villagers do. They sit around and watch holovids together.”
“That’s stupid.”
“Your little girlfriend will be there.”
Paz punched Din in the shoulder and scowled under his helmet.
“She’s not my girlfriend.”
“No? Then why do we both know who we’re talking about without uttering her name.”
“Shut up.”
Din crossed his arms and looked up at the blue Mandalorian who was now pacing.
“Fine. I’ll just let her know you aren’t interested.”
“What? Why would you tell her that? Then she will think I don’t want to spend time with her or something.”
“Why would that matter.”
“Dank farrik. I’ll go. When is it?”
“Two days from now.”
---
Your friend made you late. Like so late you weren’t even sure it was worth going anymore. When you both walked into the room you just barely saw that there were two open spots open. The one you noticed first was Din. You gave him a smile and a wave then scowled when you saw your friend basically sprint to sit next to him.
“Last spot is over there.”
You flipped your friend off with a fake smile and turned.
One seat left.
One seat left and who is it next to?
Of course, it was Paz.
You walk over and plop next to him. You weren’t sure why you were even nervous in the first place. Paz had been spending so much time with you he basically lived with you.
“Hey.”
You looked up at him and gave him a nervous smile.
“Hey, Paz. Kind of surprised you even came.”
“Yeah. Din pushed it. Sorry you uh.. didn’t get to sit by him.”
“Oh. No. It was just the first seat I noticed. It’s not like I mind sitting by you.”
He looked at you for a few moments before looking back up at the makeshift screen. The town was poor but having movie nights was always a highlight. Since the tribe had moved in, the village had tried to integrate them as much as possible.
“Do you know what this movie is?”
“No idea.”
“This wasn’t your plan?”
“Huh? No. Sylva set it up. I just found out about it today.”
“Today.”
“Yes?”
Paz hummed once and shot a glance over at Din. He whipped his head back around when you groaned at the title on the screen.
“What’s wrong? Are you sick?”
“No it’s just.. I don’t really like this movie.”
“Oh. What’s wrong with it? Violence? Blood? War?”
“No. Worse. SO much worse.”
The title popped up and you could practically hear the gears turning in Paz’s head.
“Love Across Star Systems?”
“Yes.”
“It’s a.. romance movie?”
“Yep. And it’s the worst.”
Paz cleared his throat and shift a little, keeping his hands planted on his thighs.
“You uh.. you don’t like romance?”
“Uh. I don’t know. I mean.. this movie is just corny. Not much realistic between two people running across a beach holding hands at sunset.”
“You don’t imagine yourself holding hands at sunset? I thought women loved that shit.”
“On a beach? I friggen hate sand, Paz. Plus, if you sit down then you get wet. No. No thank you.”
“I don’t know, cyar’ika. There has to be someone you’d like doing that romantic shit with.”
You looked up at him and burst out laughing. The idea of him running down the beach in his clunky armor was probably hands down the funniest thing you had ever thought of. You covered your face and tried to bite back your laughter. He stared down at you and when he tilted his head to the side you laughed even harder.
“I think you need to go to medical.”
“No! No. I’m okay. I’m sorry I just.. never mind. Let’s just watch the movie okay?”
He nodded once and you sat back, letting the movie start. As the movie played you found yourself laughing at it more than anything. Paz would look down at you but say nothing.
---
Unbeknownst to you, your best friend and Din were rather upset that the romance movie wasn’t working. The plan was for the two of you to get closer, not you laughing so hard you couldn’t breathe. Din hit a few things on his vambrace and suddenly the movie stopped. Most of the people groaned but he saw that you sighed in relief.
“Why did you stop it?”
“She’s laughing too hard to realize she’s sitting in the dark next to him. And he’s too much of a di’kut to just put his arm around her.”
“What then?”
“Act like the movie isn’t working and we put on something else. Does she like scary things?”
“No. She usually ends up hiding under a blanket.”
“Perfect. She doesn’t have a blanket. But she does have a Paz.”
---
Once they got the new movie started you started to shrink back into the couch. Paz looked down at you and tilted his head again.
“Don’t like scary?”
“Uh. I mean. I like it but.. I just.. I get-“
You were cut off by your own yelp that you tried to cover up. You turned involuntarily with your hands covering your face into Paz’s side. He looked down at you and hesitated before wrapping his arm around you.
“It’s not.. you’re really scared by this?”
“Yes! Oh, I hate jump scares.”
You felt your face heat up when you realized that you were now nestled into Paz. Part of you wanted to move away but truth be told he was warm. It sharply contrasted his bekar armor that always seemed to be cold. You had wondered what it would be like to curl up against him and now it was happening.
“Is this.. uh.. is this okay, cyar’ika? I don’t want to make you uncomfortable or..”
“No. This is okay. As long as it’s okay for you?”
“It’s okay.”
“Okay.”
“Okay.”
You grimaced at yourself and heard Din clear his throat across the room which suspiciously sounded like a laugh. You spent time with this man, yet you acted like an awkward teenager. You stayed nestled up to him and could feel him relaxing the longer you did. Other than burying your face into his side a few times, you were just comfortable.
His hand was gently resting on your waist. He was stiff at first but when he started gently rubbing his thumb across the small part of skin that was peeking out from under your shirt, you couldn’t help but smile. You tentatively moved your hand so it was resting on top of his thigh and you could have sworn he sighed at the contact.
Eventually you started to get sleepy. You knew you should excuse yourself and go back home but you didn’t want to leave Paz. Sure, you could ask him to come back with you, but the fear of rejection was just too much to handle. Plus, it was your friends building everyone was in, you’d be safe either way.
The next thing you knew, you were waking up. You picked your head up and saw that you were basically laying on top of a sleeping Paz. You froze, looking down at the couch. You both had fallen asleep and at some point, he had moved both of you to stretch out, you laying directly on top of him.
“You snore in your sleep.”
You let you some type of noise of embarrassment and buried your face downwards into his bekar. He rumbled out a laugh and pat your back.
“Don’t worry. It didn’t keep me up.”
“I didn’t even realize I fell asleep. I am so so-“
“Don’t. Nothing to be sorry for.”
You fell into an uncomfortable silent until you both started talking at the same time.
“Paz, I-“
“Listen, I-“
You started laughing and shook your head.
“Go ahead, cyar’ika.”
“Uhm, I guess I’ll just be blunt. I really like you. I mean.. stars why am I so awkward. I really value our friendship, but I do feel more for you than that.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah. If you don’t feel the same it-“
“I do.”
“You do?”
“Yep. Pretty sure Din and your friend set this entire thing up. He brought it up days ago and said he would tell you I wasn’t coming if I didn’t agree.”
“Oh, that bastard.”
Paz roared out a laugh and you couldn’t help but smile with him.
“That’s uh, why I was laughing when you said I must have someone in mind to do corny shit like that with. I imagined you trying to run down a beach with all that armor on.”
“Hey. I’ll have you know I am surprisingly agile.”
You looked up at him just in time for both of you to burst out laughing again.
