I need you to know i have been staring at your latest art post for the last 4 hours absolutely EATING IT UP. The details are insane, the lettering is perfect, and don't get me started on Carlos and Cecils designs/poses.

As someone is is primarily an animator and avid background avoider, your work is just insane to mr. Huge new inspo. Will be looking at all your art.

i fucking love cluttered backgrounds :D on the [Daily] theyre bad for my sleep schedule and sanity and ligaments and on the [Previously] i used to dismay at simply the idea off all those precise straight lines. however. i do regret to inform. it is in fact devastating to confirm. that once i did finally drag myself kicking and screaming through enough grids-and-boxes exercises, backgrounds no longer evil. backgrounds now an ally to my cause. backgrounds will be the best men at my not wedding. the venue will be empty and beautifully drawn.

with enough trained intuition you can supersede rulers entirely.

i say this with so much more road ahead of me, but its a fun road now! theyre more like a rythm game (but like. visual) or a puzzle you can solve instead of blinded ruler chucking! with enough exp you get more power and more power means potential: its touys all the way down.

i have such a stick in my ass about lettering. theres truly very little in this world i detest getting done with the flavour of fervid hatred i have for lettering- as a concept it's so fucking cool. the entire field of typography is, while we're at it!! my contempt is born out of admiration. theres so many ways to shape the lines and blobs of ink that make our languages and like

those can all "sound" different!! isnt that so fucking COOL!!! its not just the font but there's so so so so many endless ways to make text a Character as much as anything else in art and there's boundless potential options-

plus if you're ✨like me✨ you can ensnare yourself in the torture chambers of arbitrary rules and merciless standards, fonts, more often than not, being illegal, while also balancing being considerate to general design rules such as "gotta be legible 👍" and then overthink it forever- its not quick, it ain't easy but it sure IS free!

but it worked!! only took modifying most of the letters first individually and then rearranging the words a billion times but its DONE- which is what matters to me.

also!! you can now see the artefact(?) thingy things residue from it being a photo of paper i edited and then hue shifted

subtle color variations! slight fuzzy feel to make it more "eldritch radio or whatever the fuck is going on with cecil, idk yet"-static-y! a result of physical evidence of my bullshit #mybullshit!

ill be schmoopy ooey gooey and dramatic about Art, 24/7, till the day i die, and yes it is terminal- ai cant do this shit. ai cant embalm testaments to problem solving. ai can mimick handwriting but it won't excitedly gab paragraphs about stressing itself out over lettering on tumblr dot com as a procrastination tactic. you cant replace that. art is all about choices, baby, and you need that sweet sweet NEEDLESSLY CONVOLUTED HUMAN REASONING to make stupid choices properly ;P

there's always the next road to explore and the next problem to solve and the next rules to bend and thing to test out and design codes to crack and fucking around and figuring out and so so so MUCH aggressively bullshitting, until the frustration turns into fun again!
