What would be the difference between someone who has Lilith conjuct ascendant vs someone who has Lilith conjuct sun. They're described as the same but surely that must be wrong?

The sun is your identity. It is your ego, your sense of self, who you truly are at the essence of your soul. The ascendant is your influence interacting with others, how others perceive you, your actions, movements. The ascendant is the way you were raised, how you look and the mask you put on to interact.

Lilith conjunct your sun would mean there is something about you soul wise that is different from the norm. Something about you deep down is non-traditional, or taboo . It could be your sexuality, or your real personality. Your fundamental essence is taboo in some way, you ARE a Lilith.

Lilith conjunct your ascendant is other people see YOU as non traditional through your actions, demeanor, appearance. You face experiences where you are shamed for your differences. The aspect gives you a magnetism that attracts people. People project onto you without you doing much. Like you could walk into a room and a bunch of people might assume a bunch of things about you. You LOOK like a Lilith

Both are out of your control and attached to your identity which is why they may be similar interpretations.

I wonder what it’s like to have a late Libra Rising with 1H Scorpio dominating it.

Late degrees in the sign means the sign is reaching maturation. The degree that the house begins in can matter especially if it’s a critical degree like 29°. 29° involves a transition you will make in your current life.

I would think of it like you are juussst about finished with mastering the expression and the lessons of a Libra rising. Your transition in self, or expression (asc) could be awkward or uncomfortable (probably something changes you karmically) because the signs Libra and Scorpio are quincunx or at an awkward angle.

I’m gonna say you might transition from being charming or diplomatic, or agreeable to expressing more intense energy or being seen as more intense. Did something happen that made you become more private? Or emotionally intense? Part of me would imagine you went from being a very friendly person or charming to a more “darker” presence like hiding parts of yourself or noticing and reading people very well. Maybe you take the Libran traits and use it for control. Is Scorpio duplicated, meaning it’s repeated in two houses? Possibly the people you encounter lead to you becoming more of a private person.
