Moon opposite Mercury can be a frustrating aspect to have because it may feel difficult to say what you mean or express your emotions authentically. Or, when you do express yourself, it can feel like people don’t listen or understand you. You might learn to articulate your feelings in unique, unconventional, or innovative ways. People with this aspect might also process their emotions non-verbally, such as through art or exercise.

Libra rising/Cancer midheavens are nurturing and sweet to the people around them. May be soft-spoken or reserved on first impression or in large groups. Placements that downplay their looks out of fear of being perceived

venus-ruled people (taurus or libra rising)

｡♡˚ Being perceived well is a very high priority for these folks, whether they are ready to admit it or not. It's difficult when there's also harsh venus/asc aspects involved because it can make these people hyper-aware of others and how they're showing up in the world. They notice everything -- tone shifts, glances, snarky comments, noises, etc. This hyperawareness makes them want to become people pleasers and not really lean into their own preferences, identity, style, etc.

｡♡˚ When these people dress up, it's intentional and precise, but with a purpose. It's as though they're not willing to give anyone a chance to see them out of their "element" or curated persona, so they plan everything that they wear to stay socially attuned. If they are withdrawn and stop trying, its because they can't stand being evaluated by people.

｡♡˚ I think it's fair to say that venusian ruled people deal with a fair share of judgment, especially surrounding look and presentation. The attention could actually be envied by others -- people assume it's good attention, but I've noticed these people end up feeling really exposed, actually. It can be lonely if people only perceive you one way, and it's the way that isn't even... you. So, sometimes, these people stop "trying" to avoid unwanted attention. I think it's actually wild how frequent these people have "pretty" privilege to the outside world, but that privilege really hasn't gotten them but but feelings of invasion in some way, shape, or form.

｡♡˚ Now it depends on what's being aspected. But for instance, having venus conjunct/square/opposite ascendant might really crave being perceived, or being seen for exactly who they think they are. The problem is that this sometimes doesn't translate irl. These people can "miss the mark" when it comes to how they're being perceived. They might feel intense desires of approval from others, which can lead them to either overcompensate with their looks OR totally withdraw from trying. They could feel like rejection is right around the corner if they try.

｡♡˚ It's a bit different for people with moon conjunct/square/opposite asc because they're afraid of how people will react to them, especially if they show up as their true authentic selves. They can really struggle with self-expression in fear of not being understood, felt, or accepted. Vulnerability is not easy for this placement. They make some really good art though.

Saturn-ruled or Saturn 1H people

｡♡˚ These people tend to really shrink themselves to avoid unwanted criticism from others, and this is because it could feel like they've lived most of their lives under a microscope. It can feel like their every move and motive has been studied, analyzed & judged right out of the womb. They have learned very early on how to avoid the spotlight and not trust attention, so these people could have an attachment to muted colors, nudes, beige aesthetics, etc. They can even find it a challenge to incorporate actual colors into their wardrobes and it's not necessarily because they care about what people think, but because of these early life patterns they learned as children.

Neptune-ruled or neptune in 1H, 7H, 8H, 10H, 11H

｡♡˚ Ugh, these people. The problem is that they want to show themselves off to the world. They are gifted, talented, and beautiful -- the problem is that they are very seldom appreciated when they are completely and entirely themselves around others. People are very physically attracted to them, but these individuals sort of set off a projection of who other people want the neptune person to be in their minds. For instance: if the neptune person is quiet and a little shy or detached, the person might perceive neptune's actions as uninterest, aggression, or even seduction. It can get weird. If these people stop putting effort into their looks it's because of feeling objectified, or like people do not really like them for who they are, but for who people think they are based on their physical appearance or energy. It's not just about looks, though. These people can even gatekeep their real personalities if they feel rejection in this area. Sadly, these folks could think that people may never really like them for who they really are.

Pluto-ruled or pluto in 1H, 3H, 4H, 5H, 8H,12H, pluto square/opposite venus, mars, jupiter or ascendant

｡♡˚ I am including many types of plutonian placements here because the energy is intense, regardless. These poor people were probably rejected as kids, specially when it comes to showing off a talent or interest. These people could feel like others do not really care about what interests them, and so this could make them want to stop trying, or putting themselves out there. Boundary violation is also prominent here too, and this could lead to people wanting to stop putting effort into their presentation due to the level of intense attention they draw in naturally.

Today I will chime in with my opinion in this topic in astrology community.

🌸SCORPIO MOON: It's just too intense when you actually have it. Your own emotions tend to be intense, that of others too due to projection. Again, you get constantly projected on, be it jealousy, envy, jealous of the success, your money, power or status. You have to constantly defend yourself that you are actually not what others perceive you to be. You feel emotions intensely, so it often seems as paranoia. You are very much in tune with your body that tells you that something is happening in your environment before it reaches your mind. Trust issues with just about everyone, including your family, friends and loved ones, make you a forever sceptic. You are either emotionally invested or you literally let feeelings for someone die. I would say they are not as overly emotional as they are precise and quite surprisingly logical.

🌸CAPRICORN VENUS: It's supposed to be mature and loyal in love. But often you just end up feeling unlovable most of the time, whether you are in a partnership or not. It is hard, because you attract older partners (in age) that are emotionally so immature, so you end up feeling like their partner in return. And it just doesn't make sense to you how these "safe", older partners are less mature than you are. So dating older is not always the safest option with this placement. Partners who try to restrict, limit or control you, your career, life, ideas, how much time you spend with your family and friends.

🌸SAGITTARIUS MOON: They tend to escape from feelings, conversations, people that feel tough or heavy. Very much runs away from their own emotions, be it positive or negative, therefore ends up running from partnerships as well. They very quickly start to feel that their freedom is taken away from them. Be it texting whoever they want, liking social media posts of others, spontaneous boys', girls' trip. This is the placement I would say that rebels the most in romantic situations and "can't promise that they will stay and that's a risk you take" (Selena Gomez, Moon in the 9th house). When you are their partner, they want to escape from life through you.

🌸PLUTO IN THE 1ST HOUSE: This can be tough even when you are not a Scorpio Rising, with any other Rising sign. People also kinda fear you, so they tend to be doubtful of you whether to hang out with you or not, so you might end up feeling isolated. A lot of privacy issues. Not on intense Scorpio Rising Justin Bieber scale, but on smaller scale, such as you needing to change your phone number, people stalking area where you live, people inviting themselves to your home. Your life experiences and situations can be more extreme than for others. Your friendships and relationships end intensely dramatic way, then just fizzle out quietly. You are put in situation where there are jealousy and power struggles involved and you are in the middle of it. You have frequent periods where everything falls to the ground and it's not until much later on that you are able to rebuild it. Also, all of the changes happen for you at once in short period of time, not slowly. Sometimes people don't really like when you are being quiet, it makes them too nervous. You constantly reinvent yourself, but not because you like to, but because you need to. Very frequent identity crises throughout your life. Trauma and control issue.

🌸SATURN IN THE 7TH HOUSE: Yes, it does bring loyalty and dedicated committed partnerships, but at what cost? It feels like every of your partners is karmic or meant to be a lesson. In each of your partnerships there are more lessons about who you need to become rather than joyful times. Your relationships have a delay in one way or another. You tend to have stagnant relationships that feel stable, reliable, yet totally weirdly detached. You have hard time feeling actually close to them and connected. You struggle to find an equal partner, people are either more or less than you. You realize the lesson only after you have long broken up. Sometimes you feel a partnership is just one of your other duties, responsibilities, much like it is your job, family, parents etc. You have a fear of being hurt. You feel like everyone finds love before you do.

🌸LIBRA RISING: You can see their identity only through the people they hang out with regularly. Different people describe you in a different way. So you feel that your identity is what others said or thought about you. Whether they say you are warm, you start to see yourself as such. You tend to act different with each friend. You end up being similar to your partner, consciously or not.

🌸CHIRON IN THE 7TH HOUSE: I would say Libra Chirons deal with this a bit as well. You tend to attract similar romantic situations in life or the same type of partners who give you the same troubles as the last one. You tend to pick someone who emotionally doesn't appreciates you. Or you tend to argue about the same things in every relationship. You tend to burnout in partnerships more than at your job, within your family. These guys needs to learn that a partner needs to respect you before you can be vulnerable with them fully. They don't give you the attention you need, because you attract emotionally detached or unreliable people.

The Rising Signs & why they are hard to master — p1 (earth & air risings)

Taurus risings are very strong willed and slightly stubborn. Their happiness depends on how their ideas and hopes end up manifesting in reality. Now that's a great thing if you are in control of everything and you don't depend on anyone else. However, many taurus risings are very social and enjoy interacting and sharing their life with others. Taurus risings are prone to being very defensive of their ideas, opinions and morals. I find this placement particularly hard to master when the Sun is placed in another earth sign and/or you have a strong Mars (Aries, Scorpio or Capricorn)

Gemini risings are very communicative but at the same time ambiverted. They enjoy being in company on their own terms, being forced into a group setting isn't for them. They do thrive and quite literally glow when they are comfortable and chatting with people they like, but they shut down when they feel uncomfortable. At this point, they can truly seem intimidating and unapproachable, which tends to be partly wanted but it can also come across as extreme. I find this placement particularly hard to master with an Aquarius, Scorpio, Virgo or Capricorn sun or a taurus, cancer or pisces mercury.

Virgo risings are extremely particular about the way they want things to go. They care a lot about their dreams and what they work on. That's why they oftentimes have little to no tolerance towards other people who try to changing their plans. I also see a lot of virgo risings with either diagnosed OCD or OCD liked tendencies. Although that can also be a hard thing for others to deal with, it is primarily hard to live with. There is also a difference between what they want to communicate and the extent of what they feel confident and comfortable to communicate and share with others. I find this placement particularly hard to master with a Pisces or Sagittarius mercury, as well as a virgo, capricorn or aquarius moon.

Libra risings tend to see themselves in a very different light. Many libra risings struggle with self image issues, they don't see what other people see. This can go hand in hand with body dysmorphia, that can seem ridiculous to other people as libra risings are commonly perceived as attractive, even in different sizes. They might experience a lot of rejection whenever they open up about their struggles, maybe even ridicule and downplaying of how they perceive themselves and maybe even life. I find this placement particularly hard to master with a Pisces, Taurus or Libra Mars or an aries, leo or sagittarius Venus.

Capricorn risings experience an emotional gap. There is a lot that they feel and a lot that they aren't comfortable feeling and expressing. The gap that they experience and the amount of emotions that a cap rising decides to ignore is noticeable to them in everyday life. Opening up is a challenge, just like coming to compromises with others. Changing plans and adjusting to new situations might not seem as challenging to the outside and the way cap risings let the world know, but it is emotionally draining. I find this placement particularly hard to master with a Sagittarius, Aquarius or Leo Venus, but also with an Aries, Leo, Virgo or Gemini Sun

Aquarius risings are the CEOs of masking. They can mask emotions and pretend like a pro, you might not even ever know that an Aquarius rising is struggling unless they tell you. Their life tends to be perceived as well sorted, or even if it is chaotic and no masking can hide that, it seems as though they truly wing it and seem to get through it all just fine. Because of that they don't find a lot of understanding for their situation when they decide to open up and be transparent - one more reason for them to never open up again btw. I find this placement particularly hard to master with a Capricorn, Aquarius or Aries Sun and/or a Gemini, Pisces or Sagittarius Moon.
