Yes, I can understand that. You have not seen your family in a very long time! Well, aside from Prince Legolas whom you have now met... and oh. You are saying your farewells in that way. I see, I see... *Chuckes* Do not feel foolish, because it is a very modern, mortal slang and it took some time for us to understand as well! I rather like using it, though. Lessthanthree is a very amusing way of saying it.

From the way you talk, it seems as though there would never be any love between us. I have moved on, yes, but somehow you are still managing to break my heart.

If I am still affecting you in such a way, then it is obvious that something remains, Oropher. Whatever it may be, I cannot be sure. But if you had truly moved on, you would not care for what I did nor how I speak of what you had said has come to pass.

I do not wish to cause you any more grief, I truly do not. *sighs* I admit it causes me slight pain when you say such things...

Lindir walked with decisive steps towards Oropher's room, having made great care to close the door behind him so that his way of cheering Oropher up wouldn't escape. He was looking forwards to helping him, because he had wanted to tell everyone about his little furball but hadn't been able to because he did not know how people would react to him having a pet - and now that was going to change.

He smiled, knocking on the door to Oropher's room, and then just walked in, looking around. He had to wrinkle his nose. "It is far too dark in here, Oropher," he declared and moved about to turn on a light so he could actually see, and spotted the King in the corner. Walking over to him, he held out his hand. "Come on, up with you. We are going for a short walk."

Tired, and many months post the last significant thread in regards to this journey, the three wandering Elves found themselves descending into a sort of valley.  It was with one of the greatest senses of relief and jubilation that he had ever felt that Ecthelion saw chimney-smoke rising up through the trees.
