Toshinori lays curled up on the couch in the common area of the dorms. He quietly stared at the tv, though he doesn’t take in anything.

It’s just one of those moments, quiet and spaced out. He doesn’t even notice when someone walks in.

Toshinori’s expression falls at her words. She’s saying that like he’s defenseless... He hates feeling like people see him as so.. fragile.

“Eimi... You know I can handle myself...” He looks away from her, grip on his paint brush tightening a bit. “It’s not like me retiring has made me forget how to fight and defend myself...”

He’s had it from his fellow teachers. Other heroes. His students. And now Eimi..?

“   i’ll  destroy  anything  that  so  much  as  thinks  of  harming  you .   ” -Eimi.

“N— No need to sound so serious—!”

He’s close to saying ‘that’s a lot of people to be destroying’, but that may only spur the girl on. He has no idea what’s gotten into her, all he was doing was [attempting] to paint. Perhaps he did something that just... seemed protection worthy...?
