Shaz caught a glympse of dark patterns on Gris' left leg. 'That's a tattoo?' he asked looking at it. 'Does it have any maning or is it just decoration?'
Gris was confused a moment, but looked down at what Shaz was looking at. Her pant leg had ridden up a bit to expose the dark bands on her leg. She smiled, "Oh that one. Growing up back home there were only a few kids in the town."
She pulled up her pant leg more and propped up her foot, the tattoo was of five bands,each slightly thicker than the last, going up her shin and calf, "When the oldest of us left, to go join the Queen's soldiers, we all got this. To remember each other."
