1. What is their favourite word?Used to be kaffas, now it’s Cullen, but said in a very particular way *waggles eyebrows* ;) 

5. How do they feel about magic? Valina’s father is a mage, and her experiences with other mages throughout her life have been mostly positive. She has no problem with it and recognises that it can be an incredibly useful tool.

9. What is their favourite meal? Sweet Orlesian apple pie, with a cup of strongly brewed tea or a fine Tevinter wine.

15. What was a turning point in their life?Perhaps the most significant turning point was the day she received word that her grandfather on her father’s side had died, around her twenty-third birthday. She no longer had death threats and assassination attempts hanging over her. As Valina says, ‘By then, all I knew was how to manipulate, how to fight, and how to kill. Perfect mercenary material, right?’  

26. How do they cope with sorrow? Valina is able to compartmentalise to an astonishing degree, and this ability to emotionally withdraw from a situation and deal with it rationally has saved her life and the lives of others on many occasions. She tends to avoid people afterwards because they get unsettled by her, and she seeks quiet high up places where she can think and process.

1: Virgin? Are you asking because my smut is terrible? 😂😂 No, I lost that little piece of societal baggage many years ago.

6: Age you get mistaken for?Most people think I’m 28-30, but I’m actually 24. 

9: Got any piercings? I have 7. 3 in each earlobe and one at the top of my right ear. I would like to get more, but money is a thing I do not have *sigh*

24: My relationship with my parent(s). Very positive. I occasionally clash with my dad over his documentary-level history education and because some of his values used to be very conservative, but having a feminist daughter (me) and a son (my bro) who struggles with severe anxiety and depression meant he had to go through some very dramatic periods of personal growth, and I’m very proud of him for doing that.

37: One of my insecurities.Definitely my weight. Last year was very rough due to the death of a friend on top of the stress of honours and my supervisor getting sick, so I put on weight and some anxieties about the future of my relationship in recent months did not help me lose it. I’m looking forward to having the motivation in the near future to get back into a healthier routine. In the mean time, exploring some of my insecurities through fanfiction has been very helpful.

What's a pairing for which you have yet to write smut but you would consider it?

There are two pairings, actually. A personal one, and one I’ve become invested in recently thanks to @ladynorbert

The first is Dorian/Malakar, my OC Inquisitor from Shadows & Daggers. I’ve written very little about these two, except for some fluff, but I want to start fleshing out their relationship more. 

The second is Varric Tethras/Bethany Hawke, a rarepair that I’ve grown to love through fluff prompts. I could be tempted, should someone ask nicely.

No, not unless her parents are keeping secrets from her, which is very unlikely because she a very open and honest relationship with both her father and her mother.

12: Relationship status.Long term, almost 6 years with my partner. We’ll be getting engaged by the end of the year, so that’s a little bit exciting! 

13: Biggest turn ons.Stubbled jaws, deep voices, oral sex, male moans, nicely fitted pants around a bubble butt. Maker’s Breath I am a lucky woman to have a man who has alllll these things.

14: Biggest turn offs.Overbearing egos, terrible hair, and quiet intimate partners. Just moan ffs like come on! So glad my partner likes to make a bit of noise. 

15: Favourite movie.Oh, that’s a tough one, but it’s probably Robin Hood Men in Tights. It always makes me smile. 

36: Where I would like to live. Anywhere, so long as I get out of this shoebox of a house. Ideally though, on a property near the local car racetrack.

44: A random fact about anything.Polybius, a Greek Historian who lived c. 200 to 118 BC and who was, for a period of 16 years held in Rome as a political prisoner (this definition is spotty though because the history of hostage-taking in the ancient world is very complex), saw the Punic Wars as a major step towards world conquest by Rome. He was released in 150 BC but, after receiving a friendly summons, he joined Scipio as a friend and military advisor for the Third Punic War, and he later witnessed the destruction of Carthage.
