I love the thought of Wayne teaching Eddie how to be the perfect gentleman.

wayne was so quick to defend eddie's innocence for a reason, because he raised him to be a respectful young man, despite his looks/aesthetic.

i mean did you see the way he was so quick to help nancy on the boat? letting the girls pass by him in the lunch room in the middle of his theatrics? how he so easily helped chrissy calm down when she was clearly scared and uncomfortable?

just imagine how often he would go to wayne once he got a significant other.

-he'd want to learn how to tie a tie for your first date and any special occasions that it called for, like prom or a fancy dinner at enzo's

-he'd ask for advice on how to even ask you out in a respectful manner

-wayne would teach him how to impress your parents when they invite him over for dinner or a game night, telling him what not to say/ topics to avoid and reminding him to sit up straight

literally wayne tries his best to be good to eddie with what little he can provide him, hell, he gave eddie the bedroom of his trailer and sleeps on a fold out mattress in the living room.

he wants the best for eddie and teaching him basic human decency when no one else did is one of the many ways wayne shows his love to our favorite metalhead ❤︎

Ok but, reader being Steve's girl and having multiple posters in her bedroom of actors that give Steve's vibes. one day, the gang brings up the topic that, based on her boyfriend and her posters, she definitely has a type, they are all laughing calling her out while eating until her biggest argument to contradict them is one; "of course not, Eddie and Steve didn't even look alike" if we keep quiet we can hear Eddie choking

the rumors says that after that night Steve discovered what it is like to be in a poly relationship

that's honestly so cute because i just imagine the most generic 80's men that give off steve vibes (like any man that the writers wanted to base steve off of) but then like the more comfortable you grew to steve within your relationship + the more you two hung out with eddie, you started to notice your type of guy starting to expand

you'd add a copy of van halen posters and maybe an ozzy poster or two to your wall, but none of the rest of the group ever saw the updated wall. you, steve, and eddie would hang out sometimes and you'd feel the atmosphere change while you drink together or smoke a joint.

then the teasing starts about the posters, and you give steve a knowing look before saying the line about eddie, and he's caught off guard by the sudden reveal of a possible attraction, even if it had been an unspoken thing for a while

and yes, it was safe to say the three of you would have a talk once you all finished eating and went back to your place. and maybe the three of you started to kiss one another and um, take things a little further

I think if you were hoppers daughter he would HATE Eddie. Like would just want to kill him at every possible second. Anything you do “wrong” is Eddie’s fault. Didn’t pass your math exam? Eddie distracts you. Forgot to pick El up from the mall? Eddie. Got a cavity at the dentist? EDDIE. I really think Eddie would win him over at some point when hopper realizes he is here to stay, but always keeps an eye on him. Cause if he ever caught you guys drinking, smoking or him in your bedroom? You would both be dead.

need more hopper!daughter x eddie fics for this exact reason because if i were to exist in that universe i would love hop to be my dad, el as my sister, and eddie as my bf

like yeah eddie might have a bit of a record and when you bring him home to properly introduce him to your dad, he'd be furious and do what he could to break you up, like he tried to do to mike and el in season 3.

but yes, like you said, he would eventually come around to see eddie really isn't so bad and is worthy of your love (especially if like we're talking sacrifices himself for you in the upside down *cough* but then comes back as a vampire)

Whatever you do, don’t think about a ten year old Eddie out in a wee boat with Wayne for afternoon fishing. Eddie, bored out of his mind, talks about everything under the sun while he taps his fingers against the side of the boat. Wayne kept telling him he was scaring the fish away and to be quiet, but to no avail. By the second hour, Wayne gives up on the idea of catching anything except a sunburn, and listens to his nephew describe all his favorite Evil Knievel stunts in spectacular fashion until the sun starts to set.

Yeah, don’t think about that.

oh my god this is the cutest thing ever

this just makes me upset about the fact that we didn't see eddie and wayne interact ONCE on the show and how robbed we were of some bonding from them (hopefully we get a nice little reunited scene in season 5, but that might just be me being delusional still)
