Do you like the Who?

Who? I do. I’m especially fond of their earliest recordings where they’re playing like a bunch of primitives. Half of Live at Leeds contains everything I loved about the band. Magic Bus has always sucked and goes on far too long. Tommy was so damn dreary I bailed and barely listened to Who’s Next, but Quadrophenia was a powerhouse recording and I saw that Fallout Shelter tour. Which put me off them for years. They were dreadful.

If you listen with fresh ears the Kenny Jones era contains solid songwriting by Townshend, but the albums don’t really sound like “ Who records”, do they?

Hi friend, I’ve said some mean things about country music in the past, but for good reason.

It sucks.

No, it doesn’t suck, in fact there’s an amazing population of talented songwriters and players in Nashville. It’s simply not my preferred music to listen to. That’s all.
