How would Garnet react to seeing Steven bleeding would she be worried or frozen in place..or..unfuse?
She's definitely frozen in place. She knows something is wrong, something isn't right with him, but she can't pinpoint it. All she can do is watch helplessly.
It doesn't help he runs away once he even tastes the blood in his mouth, he doesn't want them to see how bad they can get. Especially Garnet.

Grieving. His baby is gone.
At first, he was extremely angry with the Gems for losing him, but felt 'Its the Gems! They'll bring him back!' Then a week goes by. Then a month. Then a year. Eventually he gave up hope after 3 years in. No communication made him assume Steven didn't want to return, Homeworld may be better for him! Better than he could ever be.
He spends most of his time in his van, he doesn't really talk to the Gems anymore because he blames them for Steven's kidnapping. Connie frequently visits him, they share stories about Steven, he misses his little baby.
Hiiii I really love your art and style, ive just re-read most of your posts lol. Do you have any unfinished sketches? I really like your diamond steven, Fractured mind, and wish to see more but if you dont have em or dont have time i understand.

Hai hai!! Tysm!! Im happy you like my Au. I do have some unfinished sketches that's been sitting around that i haven't posted, i'll give some small descriptions
Concepts for how I wanted White and her pearl to look, very early on before White got her reference, I still have yet to do the pearls tbh. I kinda established their relationship here, Steven's uncomfortable relationship with this all knowing deity who seems to be watching his every move. Along with the 'injury' she sustains as well.
Here's a concept of how steven looked after leaving White's head, the big confrontation i talk about constantly lol. That and how it affected him later. These are a bit old, at first, I wanted the affliction to be somewhat like something pushing on his brain but I decided against it.
And this initial sketch of Steven's final adult look. I knew I wanted him to have a ponytail and unruly curls that somewhat rebelled against him. I also knew I wanted him to have some sort of coat to cover himself up when he snuck out, you'd be surprised nobody really recognizes him.
Lastly, my initial sketch for the Crystal Gems! I knew out of anybody I wanted Pearl to change the least. Other than adding Pink colors on her to represent that she was still clinging onto Rose/Pink, I felt she'd be the most careful in the group, while the others would become reckless trying to find steven in some cases. Garnet is my favorite redesign, I almost changed the color of her visor but I liked the way the gold looked :>
As for my favorite AU, i'd say my current favorites as of late is the Direction AU by my moot @empanadastheresurrection , such a awesome concept of Steven and Connie i am very inspired by her work. As for old school au's, my all time favorite was the Eldritch Gems au, i still frequent the comic and reread everything. It's nothing like i've ever seen in an AU, Steven working in a system was such a neat concept and the body horror was to die for. Thank you so much for the ask! Sorry if I rambled, I love to talk. :3

Realistically, Greg and Steven don't reunite until Steven eventually leaves homeworld, but I am drawing how I think this could play out!
Once he does find out that Steven is alive on Homeworld he is relieved, and very happy he's okay, but he isn't told the worst of it until Steven comes home, but I will indulge you all with a doodle later :3
