@ask-stevecarlsberg asked: ♥ :)
(Okay, so I wasn’t certain what style to do and this evolved into a drabble so I did both)
Imagine when you find your soulmate, your heart starts to glow red. Send me “♥” for my muses reaction to it happening suddenly to our muses
“No. No, no, nonononononono no NO STEVE CARLSBERG!!!”
Teeth bared in a snarl, Cecil leaned back away from Steve as far as he possibly could, glaring, not at his face, but at his chest.
“There is no way this is happening.”
“Well I’m sorry Cecil but it sure is happening!” Steve shrugged helplessly and gestured to the soft pink glow emanating from both their chests. “See? You have it too!!”
“I gotta be honest, the dotted lines did not show me this when I went to the Sand Wastes last week,” he continued.
He would have prattled on but Cecil cut him off. “I don’t care what you think about whatever-it-is you see in the sky Steve. I just want this fixed.”
“Fixed? But... why would you want this fixed Cecil? You can’t just change fate.”
“Why?? Because I’m dating Carlos! Because you’re married to my sister! Because... aarrggh.”
Cecil rubbed his temples to ward off an oncoming headache as Steve looked on in confusion.
“Well, yeah I’m married to Abby and you’re dating Carlos. Us being soulmates isn’t gonna change that, silly! Soulmate doesn’t mean dating! It just means compatible souls, right? So like, how you get all Hello Listeners I’m going to give you this illegal message because it’s important, and I get all Hey everyone you need to hear something important I heard from the top secret agent living in the attic.”
He gave Cecil a comforting smile, the same one he used with Janice when she was getting frustrated with a homework problem. “We’re brother-in-laws, Cecil ol’buddy. Just that! And, maybe, y’know we could be friends now that we’re soulmates and all -”
“You can stop right there, Steve.”
“Oh- Okydoke! But you see? It’ll be fine!!”
“Yeah...” Cecil sighed, shook his head, “... thank you Steve. And we’ll... deal with this later, but for now we’re not going to talk about it and I am going to go home, okay?”
“Okay Cecil!”
