Oh I actually have an answer to why he might have been so stupid! I crunched the numbers and assuming he closed his door and didn't buy anything else, he was only alive for about 13 days before he met you! And was also like straight up about to die before that lucky break in the arena- that man is entertaining to watch partially because of his stupidity but also like yeah id probably be a fucking moron to if I wasn't even a month old yet

(tabi sits down on the floor, in front of the small mirror, and picks up the pair of scissors. she opens and closes them a few times in front of her, just to pretty much "warm up", and then she grabs the part of her hair that has the wall mix solidified in it. she takes a deep breath and cuts off the chunk of hair.
she looks at herself in the mirror, looking unhappy about how uneven her hair is now.)
...i mean, a change of haircut might at least make me a bit less recogniseable...

not really... i mean, it depends on the person. some people decorate their rooms or the communal areas, like the market, but that's pretty much the extent of it for most of us. i personally don't really celebrate, but the decorations are nice to look at. makes me forget for a while what this civilisation is really about...
i wonder what christmas would look like in a peaceful civilisation...

yeah... i suppose you're right. none of us really wanted to be part of any of this. that's the worst thing about it -in a different world i might even be friends with some of the swords, who knows. but in this world it's different, and we don't exactly have a say in that.
