I'm sure you already have ideas for our short king, Thorin Oakenshield. Um. If he's a warlord, what if his conquest is to gather dwarrow (female dwarves) for his own kingdom bc they are in short supply? Or at least a queen?

that’s actually my entire base plotline lmao 😂 my husband and i were talking about the rarity of female dwarves and its implications for dwarven society and culture—and ofc me being me, i was like “i feel like that would give way to a culture where brides are highly prized, maybe even raided for” and he said that tolkien actually wrote that many dwarves don’t care for marriage or pairing off, and i was appalled 😂
