Ive been thinking about star saber and remenbered your fic
Honestly i think i didnt show enough appreciation to it bc
I dont really like idw star saber all that much, i think the whole idea was criminally underdevolped (like srs WHY IS HE LIKE THIS? WHO TURNED HIM INTO THAT? WHAT IS HIS BACKSTORY LIKE?)
So for me he just came off as cringey and edgy and also lowkey a disrespect to the og star saber (god i love transformers victory *sobs*) so for me to have actively checked your blog regurlaly for when it came out

I admittedly haven't watched Victory yet (I'm at Headmasters rn and wanna go chronologically), but I am very fond of IDW1 Star Saber as a character. He just feels very thrown in, and that hurts me a bit. I almost forgot he existed until I re-read the Luna I arc and was like "OH YEAH I LIKED THAT GUY".
I can imagine him very well as someone that used to be this courageous, honorable, admirable mech with his faith being a big motivator in that. But something happened to him that made him turn into the extremist we know.
I definitely want to post more about him, because I have a lot to say. Like, headcanons (both SFW and NSFW), songs, ideas for possible backstories...
I want to write a fic about how he became the Star Saber we know at some point, that's for sure. He is so fascinating.
To ship, too, but also as an actual character that stands on his own two feet.

BECAUSE I saw a really hot comic of Fort Max and Overlord sharing Prowl and I felt like writing something mean so I just kinda did??
Idk I just really liked to explore the idea of Overlord torturing Prowl but instead of just doing it out of shits and giggles, he's doing it because Fort Max told him to do it. And that eventually turned into me being like "Okay but what if Overlord likes being a Warden's Pet?" and that's where the name of the fic also came from!
That and I think Prowl is ridiculously hot when he's beaten up and covered in energon, I just needed someone with enough violence in his fuel lines to throw him around :þ
What songs would fit with TFA Wreck-Gar? I know the obvious answer would be songs by his voice actor (Weird Al), but I really feel like "Who Do You Want To Be" by Oingo Boingo is a really great fit

Yeah, yeah, I know, I know, funny haha Shrek Meme song. But it works! It does! It has this very light-hearted "go with the flow" kinda energy, it's about being foolish, but still happy. In a way it's similar to Dare to Be Stupid, but at the same time, it has a bit of a different 'pep' to it that fits very well with TFA in general. It's not as shallow as it may seem, I swear!!
There's Something Happening by Jack Stauber
The song is somewhat goofy and whimsical, but looking into the lyrics, there's a constant change of self in there that feels very Wreck-Gar to me. Like, he's a light hearted fun guy, but who is he really? Something like that. It's got a bit of a deeper layer, he's trying to find his place.

This is one of my all-time favorites from the Eurovision Song Contest and it's free Serotonin for me xD
It's about not being prejudiced, about not caring what others say or think about you, it's very joyful and carefree and super quirky, it also suits his G1 version I'd say :]
Wreck-Gar is quite challenging because my brain really just wanted to throw any kind of quirky-whimsical-goofy song in here, but there's a lot of thought that can be put into him when you dive deeper beyond the cheery persona.
