I highly recommend 08th MS team and war in the pocket 0083. They're gritty with the theme but will provide good action entertainment. Sorry I'm a big gundam fan.
Yeah I totally watched those in-between the 0079 movies! They take place around the same time. I agree, they're really great! Perfect examples of Gundam series that know what the franchise is all about.
What's your personal favorite gundam? And would you buy the model?
I’ve only seen a handful of shows, but so far my favorite GUNDAM-gundam, like not other non-Gundarium-armored mobile suit/armors, would probably have to beeeee Deathscythe Hell from Gundam Wing. NOT the Endless Waltz design. And HELL YES I would buy that model! Heavy Arms (also from Wing) at a close second, because GUNS!!!!!
But my favorite mechs in the franchise, even held higher than the Gundams, are the Gouf and BIG ZAAAAAAAAAM!

One of my besties and Gundam-guru Devon whipped up a handy guide for diving head-first into this wonderful franchise!
He really just gives a good strategy for the MAIN continuity. What I'm doing is watching the UC stuff until I get overloaded with it, then I take a break with a random spin-off AU series. I watched all the movies and the stuff that takes place around the same time and then watched Gundam Wing. Now I'm on Zeta and when I'm done with that I'll watch G Gundam. Then I'll watch Double Zeta and Char's Counterattack, and see how I feel after that.
Also, he's pretty harsh on Gundam SEED, he'd never ever tell someone to watch it, but he has good reason as a hardcore Gundam fan. Essentially SEED is everything every other Gundam isn't. It's very by-the-books created-to-be-popular super moe same-face otaku-baiting "ANIME" anime, and because of that a lot of people who otherwise wouldn't have anything to do with Gundam are big fans of THAT and badmouth everything else, and because it's popular it's gotten a lot more sequel movies (even in at least one case causing a different Gundam project to be cancelled so they could make a SEED product instead) and loads more toys/models than other Gundam shows have. So just letting you know what you're getting into if you decide to give SEED a try.
hey tooch just wondering, ever seen the tintin cartoon? they recently took it down on netflix but its all on youtube. i think youd like it maybe, its pretty much just like the books and stuff.
I tried watching an episode of it, but it was a bit boring? Maybe I just picked a bad episode. I wasn't digging it. The comics are easier to digest, because I can just read through the lulls quicker and pause on the good stuff. At least that's my immediate guess as to why I enjoyed the cartoon less.
The 2012 movie was great though! It was giving me a lot of Indiana Jones feels, the CG was fucking with my eyes, I could swear some of the shit was real and not computer rendered. Like jesus. Where is the sequel to that???

Woodchuck cider is my shit. I love all the flavors, but I wish they were more descriptive on the bottle so I knew what shit like "Crisp" and "Winter" taste like. "IT TASTES LIKE FUCKIN WINTER U CLOD" THANKS WOODCHUCK, YOU'RE LUCKY YOU USUALLY TASTE SO RAD I CAN GO INTO THIS 6 PACK BLIND AND NOT WORRY!

Personally I’m not a huge fan of beer, I prefer hard cider, it’s usually apple flavored but there’s other kinds. It tastes good and it’s not THAT strong but it’s by no means piss-water. So depending on your tolerance, two or three of them will get a nice buzz going to start the night off without sacrificing taste!
As for harder stuff, I’m a fan of rum or scotch, though I don’t drink hard stuff often enough to have a specific favorite kind? I dunno, I usually do shots of rum or have a rum & coke, but some places really skimp on the rum and essentially give you coke with a splash of freaking rum CHEAPSKATES!
But yeah, always remember to drink responsibly. If you’ve never gotten drunk before, just take things slow. Have two or three drinks and stop and see how you feel. Me personally no matter HOW fucked up I am I always know when to stop, so I’ve never blacked out or anything. Some people though, when they get drunk they lose their judgement and just keep on drinking until they’re down for the count. So to anyone who knows in-advance that they get like this? Try to just keep a healthy buzz and don’t go further than that.
Be sure to be in a nice safe environment with people you trust, that way you’ll start the night having a good time and you can stay that way! You should never feel like you HAVE to drink to have a good time. It’s a recreational want, nothing more.
