When Robin was small and had nightmares Loki would stay with her til she fell asleep and now he feels that whenever he has nightmares she stays with him til he falls asleep because he had a nightmare in the early morning and he heard a Robin tweeting and yeah he cried -M

i’m um still thinking about it and dad!loki is just a whole mood - robin was just born literally hours ago and loki absolutely refuses to hold her, he wasn’t even going to touch her but the moment he saw her he was so overwhelmed w emotion he had to brush his finger against her hand as you held her. you knew it was his irrational fear that he’d corrupt her if he touched her w hands that have inflicted harm, you’ve spent many late nights in the last nine months talking it over and he knows (1/3)

it’s irrational but he can’t bring himself to do it. but you’re so tired and he can hardly blame you, you just brought a human into this world. but you don’t want robin to stray too far so you ask him to please just hold her while you rest & he can’t say no to you. you’ve already done so much. so his hands shake but he relents. he holds her in silence until your eyes slide shut but the moment you do you hear him whisper his devotion to her, promises her rather die than break and you crack (2/3) 

 your eyes open just a peek to admire the man who is looking between his daughter and you with the reverence usually reserved for gods -xx (3/3)

this is canon and i dont take no for an answer. he looks down at the bundle in his arms, curls of hair falling into his normally-slick back hair and the most disbelieving smile is on his face. he helped make this, he, who has fucked up so much, has managed to make the most beautiful thing in the world, and then he looks to you, with adoration pouring out of his every pore, and he thanks you. he thanks you as if you’ve given him life, given him breath.

i find myself just reading and rereading your 1996 story, it’s flawless writing and I applause you for that! I honestly cannot wait to see what you do with these characters and if they can mend themselves enough just to genuinely smile (they’re some sad people, but that’s what we love about them) keep up the phenomenal work!!!!

this is so bloody lovely. thank you so much for this message. they both are such sad people because of what life has shaped them to be but they’re good souls trapped in a nature vs nurture (especially loki). i love them both so much and i’m glad you do too :)
