Sebastian sat in the study, his second bottle of vodka in his hand as he tried to focus on his chess board. It was stupid because he was playing against himself and no matter which way he looked, he was losing.

Summer was over and school was starting again the next day. In a haze of exhaustion Sebastian gathered his bags and half of Harmony's as they left the airport to the waiting car that would take them to their home here in New York. 1407 Graymalkin lane, his winter home. The Xmen were waiting there to teach him new lessons at it was as much a school as home. They finally arrived, pulling up to the front of the mansion. Harmony rocketed out of the car, running forward to greet her papa and chatter with him while Bastian took his bags up the steps. He said nothing more than a demure hello, nodding to Charles before walking inside wearily to his room. He woke up hours later, stiff, hungry, and still exhausted. It was 2:00 in the morning but the fridge always had leftovers so he figured he would find something to eat. Ten minutes later he was busy shoving rice into his face when the softened voice of his father sounded out behind him, causing him to choke.
((Getting too tired to come up with decent words, and I've been irresponsible enough that I haven't finished my homework. Logging off now to take care of business.
