“I believe I’ve met Crowley once or twice. And I can assure you, I’m definitely not a demon. Very much the opposite actually,” the archangel smirked. “Excellent choice,” he offered his elbow to the Cat King. “Shall we?”
Then added, “I’m Gabriel. And what may I call you?”
the cat king has never enjoyed dealing with demons. they made a mess of everything, and they stunk. so he supposes that he's glad gabriel isn't one of them.
wraps an arm around gabriel's and gives a hum that sounds a little close to a purr. "thomas. or cat king, i suppose. either way, i shall respond."
“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Thomas. Forgive my appearance, I would’ve dressed better if I’d known I’d be meeting royalty today,” he remarked with a playful smile. He continued as they began to stroll down the path from the water’s edge.
“This if going to sound incredibly cheesy, but are all Cat Kings normally this handsome? Cuz if so, I might be changing my stance and become a cat person,” he teased, grinning toothily.

I’m supposed to be listing the song I listened to last, but Im not sure which one that was so instead, I will put the song I’ve listened to the most today. I’ve been obsessing over (and belting it while in my car) this song since I saw a reel of a guy singing the chorus in an abandoned building while his friend did a silly dance behind him.

Gabriel turned and smiled at Alaric, his heart warming at the sight of his bleary-eyed lover as he shoved his phone back in his pocket.
“Everything is fine. I just woke up. I missed check-in so my friends got worried,” he assured him, kissing his temple.
“Also, I hope you don’t mind house guests cuz I asked my baby bro to come help patch up my leg…and my everything else.” Gabriel added that last part with a chuckle.
“He’ll be here in an hour. We need to change the wards so he can get in. If we time it right, we can make it so we essentially shut the door behind him, and keep ourselves hidden.” He explained and leaned in to gently kiss Alaric cheek.
“We should probably get start-shit!” The archangel hissed as he tried to sit up and jostled his damaged leg. “I’m fine!” He quickly tried to assure the Fae.
That one kiss warmed his entire body. A small gesture of affection so dearly missed over the long span of Gabriel's absence. He wanted to stay in bed, to pretend the world didnt exist just a little longer, but he could forgive the interruption in pursuit of mending his archangel.
"If that guest can bring you back from the brink, he is more than welcome. As much as I do like nursing you, its only fun when you arent in serious danger." Already a warning was on the tip of his tongue, seeing Gabriel move to get up again without help, but it was swallowed with his curse.
"You arent fine. Gods but you are terrible at being a patient- let me help you, no arguing either this isnt optional." Alaric rose from his bed, wasting no time in coming over to give his arm to Gabriel. "It might take us that hour to get downstairs, but if that's what it takes to do this safely, we will use every minute. Put weight on me, I can take it."
To distract from pain when they made it to the stairs, Ala asked the first question that came to mind.
"Is your brother as stubborn as you?"
Gabriel smirked, taking his arm and leaning in close so that their noses touched, his breath grazed Alaric’s lips. “I like you nursing me too. Perhaps when this is all over, we can play doctor?” He teased before kissing him. The kiss was awkward given the angle, but the angel didn’t care. Not when he had his love back by his side.
He bit on the inside of his cheek to silence any sounds of pain that wanted to slip out as they hobbled along.
“Close but not quite,” he joked with a breathless chuckle. “And he’s not nearly as good looking.”
When they got to the stairs, Gabriel reached out to grip the railing with his free hand to help keep himself steady. “Remind me… to get you an elevator,” he muttered as he winced with each step.
“So aside from this… how’s your day going? I hope I didn’t make you have to reschedule any plans,” asked, trying to hide the extent of his pain as they slowly went down each step.
