Sejuani's armor is fastened particularly for the coldest areas of the Freljord and adapts to the woman's fighting style. All in. Considering such, one could expect she would need both protection but also maneuverability. Rather than subjecting herself to an entire heavy plate mail suit, she's adapted and made sure to include only the integral options particularly for raids.
While she still wears leather, long sleeves as well, her boots, gloves, and armor segments are insulated as well providing both warmth and an extra layer of protection. The material one could surmise is boar's skin, particularly of the North. Thick and resistant, one would only imagine her tribe to get as much use out of the animal as possible.
