With the upcoming Muppet Haunted Mansion movie, I'm kinda curious...

Who would you cast for a Live Action Haunted Mansion/Phantom Manor? I know we got the Eddie Murphy version, but I'm curious to know who YOU'D pick :)

I'm still keen on Terrance Zdunich as Ghost Host. I'm sticking with that one. Keegan-Michael Key as Ezra... which naturally leads to Jordan Peele as Phineas. Peter Dinklage as Gus. I always think of Aubrey Plaza for Little Leota, because that's the personality type I imagine for her. I think Mindy Kaling could be a fun choice for the were-tiger lady in the changing portrait. Me being a cringy nerd here, but I would love a cameo of Rhett and Link of Good Mythical Morning fame as the duelists.

The others, I'm not so sure on. Maybe Simon Pegg and Nick Frost as two out of three of the quicksand men. Dapper Dans as the singing busts again.

I would bring back Marsha Thomason and Nathaniel Parker for a cameo as Edward and Elizabeth. It wouldn't be a reboot, but simply a new story in a different Mansion, loosely connected to the other.

If I really had control of this thing, I'd ditch the live action format, and make it an animated musical. Characters with a Marc Davis influence. Backgrounds and furniture with a Claude Coats, Dorothea Redmond, and Rolly Crump look. How cool would it be to have someone like Amy Lee voicing Sally Slater, and you give her a chilling power ballad?

I just want these characters to get the love and attention and story they deserve.

The night was quiet, the shadows were thick, and overhead, a raven crowed. A pair of blood red eyes watched the prism duelist from the darkness, a hoard of shadows tittering and whispering in excitement.

The candy wrapped was rolled and unrolled between fingers. Crinkling all edges, from all angles, until the noise got tired and the sound was worn out.

Even still, Jey stared off into space. Heel scuffing on the pavement and fingers tapping the wood of the bench. A picture of idle. Mindless motions and tics.

Eyes snapped back to focus with the arrival of a caw. Flicking up at the onyx bird with a frown.

Then, she tensed.

Something didn’t feel right.
