(ask-maat) Maat@Addie: "Your tail is impressive. I don't often see such displays of coalesced energy, especially displays that function so well." She pauses. "It seems you are off to your next destination. Choosing, perhaps? Do you worry that this energy will be a lure for unfavorable company? Do you feel that you are prepared to defend yourself in that kind of situation?"

“But! I have my friends to help! And a plan! So hopefully we’ll be fine! Better to stay positive than worry about what could go wrong, right?”

“We’re going to go look for those guys we met who told us about this stuff - Imbris and Chandra. I don’t know where they are, but they can’t have gotten far away. They might be able to help… and maybe turn this light stuff back into a crystal, That’d be nice... it really does feel like it’s getting hotter...”

Flight [Plot]

Celosia contemplated this for a while before looking at all the stragglers he had picked up. He pulled Apple of his hat, setting her on Cairo’s shoulder before pulling The Doctor off of the Lucario. 

“I think it’s... best we go. You guys can get home okay, right?” he asked, before climbing up the Reshiram’s wing.

“C’mon, dog.”

The Ravener followed, slowly, cautiously. He understood the word ‘Kill.’ 

Maat took off.

They were flying for hours, and Celosia had a lot of questions.... A lot of them regarded this Jericho guy that The Doctor mentioned. Who... were they?

“Uh, Maat...?” Celosia spoke up. The ride was mostly silent, solemn. 

Maat was quiet for a while before answering, her voice cold, unempathetic. 

“Yes, Celosia.”

“Do you know who Jericho is...? He’s related to the Doc in some way-”

Maat’s throat rumbled. Could this be laughter, amusement? 

“It is interesting to me,” she started. “That you do not recognize the name of your underclassman.”

“So... you do know him.”

“He is a student of your teacher’s.”

“And do you know where we can find him?”

“It may be easier for him to come to you.”

“Right.... okay....”

Celosia clutched The Doctor tighter.

(ask-maat) Maat@Ceebee: She settles for a moment, rolling words over in her head for a while before she decides to speak. Celebi, by nature of their creation, are meant to be time travelers of some sort. She assumed this one would be no different. "Tell me, Celebi. As a patron of time travel, surely you have vast pools of knowledge and experience to pull from. Celebi should be able to look to the past easily enough, but can you see into the future as it will be? That is a rarer skill."

Hello there! It’s a pleasure to meet you, I’ve never seen a reshiram in person before. You are quite the interesting one, it would seem.

I can see into the future, but it requires much energy and work. After all, there are many possibilities on how the future may turn out, and while I could just look for the most likely one to occur, it wouldn’t feel complete. If I’m going to look to the future, I need to look at any future.

Unfortunately, this world holds no good future. Which is why we made the plan to go back in time and fix things; to rewrite history for the better. It’s risky, but it is the only option left to let everyone live a happy life.

@ask-maat Ceebee seems to sense something odd about Maat, but doesn’t judge. It isn’t her place right now. Regardless, she seems to respect the goddess of truth, and while she had no intentions to lie in the first place, she is especially honest now.

(ask-maat) Maat @ Doc: "Oh my. It seems that you have overexerted yourself." It's hard not to sound judgmental when she had explained that her power very easily could be overwhelming. She doesn't even ask if they were prepared. She already knows they weren't. "I apologize for bestowing unto you something that you were not able to carry gracefully. It seems than none of you made it out of the ruins the same you went in." She pointedly does not mention the swapped members. "How unfortunate."

“Aren’t you a god? Fucking irresponsible if you ask me. You could’ve KILLED them. Hell, they’re dying RIGHT NOW and you don’t even care.”

(ask-maat) Maat@Doctor: "I'm curious about the Ravener. A rogue soul who only devours and gives nothing back. I have no doubt that you have a plan in mind for dealing with this problem." A long silence. Beings that only consume are usually unable to be reasoned with or controlled easily. "I am no reaper, but is there anything I could do to assist you and your colleagues?"

The Doctor paused.

“I have mentioned that The Ravener is new among our number, yes? All of the new reapers are mentored by one with an aspect fairly similar to their own. I have even mentored some reapers myself.” They inclined their head backwards, pausing to make sure Celosia was keeping pace. 

As they began to move again, they looked ahead with renewed determination.

“I want to know who his mentor was. Perhaps their identity could shed some light on this situation.”

(ask-maat) Maat@Doctor: "Mortals get stronger every year." Maat remains silent for a long time, as if mulling over that statement. Dissecting it. "And so do you. You reap those who have failed to stave off illness, but I wonder why you are worried that you will no longer have purpose. Why fear what you can control? If they were to forget what they can't see, what stops you from making them remember? Does self-preservation not play a part in your responsibilities?"

(ask-maat) Maat@Exorcist: "I understand what your role is here, but do you consider it fair to place blame upon yourself when there are alternatives to such actions." Her voice sounds almost dismissive, though not purposely. "If you are truly the only one who can right the atrocities committed here, what good does overwhelming emotion do now? Perhaps, as other reapers have been known to defect from their duties, enlisting the help of your colleagues would lessen the emotional stress."

She slowly bowed her head to the Reshiram in respect. Even though she was a priestess of Arceus, she still held respects for other legendary Pokemon. 

“Well, yes of course, but I do feel a bit stressed out due to the circumstances. The Ravener has been leaving souls to corrupt and I saw life leave this desert– I guess that sounds silly but…” she sighed. “I can’t do this alone.” 

She looked towards The Doctor, who seemed to be ignoring her.

“█̥͈̳█̶͎̘͚̗█͚̞̲̟̬█̹̣█̸͇̗̖̙͕̝̪██̙̝̱█͉̳̠̹͎͙̠█̢̗͖̞͎̪̜ , please, help me!” She looked towards them earnestly.
