Their World (Earth 3)
Last night had certainly been eventful. Recharge had tried to attack a stronghold of Owlman, only to be caught and sent to Arkham. HIs family still pleaded to be useful to him though. The Dusks aside from Davis were powerful people and willing to cling to their power however they could. Then came the Jesterz, trying to be big and powerful while simply being a gain over over active vigilantes. He ended his night as he usually did, paying a visit to his made men before calling it a night in his loft.
Waking up the next day, Terry had decided to see one of his closer allies. He sent Max a message, asking if she would want to grab a bite and some coffee around lunch. School wasn’t going to go anywhere and he was doing well enough. It wasn’t any trouble to see how things were going with her.
And of course, he’d be more than happy to foot the bill, even if she wanted to go to a high end restaurant on the 50th level.

Threat Neutralized
Orion was very excited for ballet to get over. She was usually hard to get out of the studio, but today she rushed out. She'd already told Paxton she was visiting a friend tonight, and she'd be able to get a ride if he was taking care of Sophia.
She didn't even waste time changing out of her ballet clothes. She had her dance bag with her, she'd be able to change when she got to Max's. Right now she was concentrating on finding where they planned on meeting. She was in halfway to where the ATM was on the corner of the street, so she figured Max would be able to find her easily.
Her stomach growled through all of ballet thinking about that cupcake ATM. She was more excited, though, to spend the time with her new friend. It wasn't often that she felt some kind of internal pull towards people, but it sometimes happened. Max was a rare exception to her general mistrust of new people.

Especially given how hot she was in Epilogue. Terry and Melanie is also a pairing I really enjoy, but only as an AU thing. I don’t want Dana to have to get stuck by the wayside in some “die for our ship” bullshit just to see that pairing work. I could write a lot about why Dana is important to Terry’s character and why she deserves a shitton of respect and proper characterization.☒ A NOTP with your Muse in it (if you have any). Given my status as a multiship blog, and my hobby of writing dumb Batman Beyond fanfiction, it’s pretty evident that I like the thought of Terry with just about everyone. I’ve got a few hard rules, though. I don’t like him with Max, because I really like their friendship, and I think Alan Burnett’s idea of Terry rebounding from Dana with Max was gross and dumb, and insulting to all three of their characters. I wouldn’t ship Terry in any incestuous things. Everyone’s entitled to their ships and opinions, but I’m not on board with Terry getting it on with anyone he’s related to. I think that about covers it?

Failure.
No matter how many lives Terry saved, there were still people he failed.
Fries had died.
The Terrific Trio had died.
Once the city had almost been destroyed because he couldn't keep Curaré from killing some South African assassin prick.
How many more were going to die?
How many more would he fail?
How many more faces were going to flash in front of him when he had nightmares?
How many more times was he going to prove to the world that he wasn't fit to wear the cowl?
"Wake up." he heard Max's voice cutting through the dream. He opened his eyes and looked up into hers. He must have been making noise in his sleep, enough to rouse her from the couch in front of the TV where she had been sleeping after they stayed up late watching vids.
Terry couldn't help but wonder how long it would take before her failed her, too.
