Hello Paleoblr! I've got more of a Cenozoic kind of question for you. We know the La Brea Tar Pits population demographics finds skew more carnivore than herbivore, possibly because the carnivores got trapped while trying to scavenge. But do the finds in permafrost regions like Siberia have a a similar demographic skew, or something quite different?

Hi palaeoblr, I'm an undergraduate studying a bachelour of science in Australia, majoring in Earth Systems/Enviromental science.

I've been nominated a for a possible chance of a scholarship to study or intern at pretty much any academic institution in the asia pacific region, plus Mongolia minus Russia. However I have only been given a very short time frame to select an institution to study at. Normally people who want to study palaeontology in the pacific/south east asia regions come here to Australia, but this scholarship is for studying abroad and I don't have the finacial means to leave for a different university.

Study must be eligible for a credit in an Australian undergraduate degree. The institution of choice has to offer it's course in english or provide language learning experiance and be part of the asia pacific region ( so in the east side of the pacific, like China, Bhutan ect. and not in North, Central or South America.)

I know this is a big ask and it's still early in my academic career, but if you can suggest an institution or offer any suggestions, I would be very very grateful. I'm willing to come off anonymous for further discussion. Thank you for your time.

Hi! Hello! Are Bactrosaurus kysylkumensis and Gilmoreosaurus kysylkumense the same species under different genre? Or are they entirely different taxa?

Apologies, i am the previous anon and had gotten it into my head that theropods only included carnivores, a mistake on my part. To rephrase the question I just wanted to know if bipeds outside of theropods were capable of moving their femur in a wider angle than the 90 degree angle that theropods are known to be restricted to. Hoping I phrased that right

'kay so... I know all the "swimming dinosaurs" weren't actually dinosaurs, but how do we know for absolute certain that there were no marine or aquatic dinosaurs? I mean, there are marine and aquatic birds (descended from dinos), reptiles (marine iguanas, sea snakes, etc), and of course the closest living relatives of birds the crocodiles are almost entirely aquatic with some marine variants. So why are we bang on certain no dinos were aquatic or marine adapted?
