The city of Ba Sing Se was reputed to be impenetrable with three walls dividing the people as much as they served to separate it from the rest of what looms beyond.
However, this was no challenge for the Fire Nation, who had prepared just the thing that could break down those very walls.
Marking its path with unimaginable speed was a drill the size of a house, with a large tank behind it.
Inside the enormous tank, were at least a thousand men, distributed in different parts of the machinery, making sure all works well.
“We’ve arrived in Ba Sing Se. Our next course of action, Your Highness?”
The addressed party’s back was turned, wearing full armour from helmet to boots. Next to the figure was another similarly armoured figure, but adorned with a long robe from waist to the calves, and was a tad shorter than the first party himself, arms crossed. “Your Highness” turned to shorter armoured figure, who only nodded briefly. Once a nod of assent was achieved, they turned a fragment to the side to meet the superior, a sharp obsidian eye was visible, as the ivory skinned man spoke. “Begin.”
With just that one word in command from the superior who then walked deeper down the hallway, the shorter armoured figure following suit, the officer who had then asked the prince, started relaying orders to everyone else. “We have permission. Now fire up the engines! We charge!”
The rest of the men merely echoed in their shouts of assent and agreement as they worked on the drill, starting the engine, the drill landing its mark little by little onto the reputed impenetrable walls.
The invasion had begun on Ba Sing Se.
The Avatar’s whereabouts was rumoured to be with close proximity with the earth kingdom. And this pre-emptive strike was necessary if to invoke the royals into surrendering their biggest prize.
