Waste of Tea
"Al-haza?"
Sagi sipped at his tea as he watched the Lady Tamiyo, kneeling across the table from him, try to work the strange word on her tongue.
"Correct" he said, setting his cup back down and idly drumming a finger against the dark wood. "The sorcerer I spoke to explained it as 'the force that governs how dice fall.'"
Busted
((Extra long just for you, Senpai))
Sagi stared at the portrait that hung above the ballet of the fireplace. The stern-eyed man in his military uniform glared down at Sagi, breast held out to display the adornments of office that colored the otherwise plain red uniform. Sagi turned from the painting to the subject, seated across a heavy desk, the worse off for years and drink, red faced and almost overflowing from his armchair. The Constable of that ludicrously cold mountain town poured Sagi a glass of their powerful amber liquor that tasted awful but gave heavenly warmth against the biting cold of the mountain wind.
Gifts Ungiven
Shuichi sat in his room, allowing Sasara to coil around his fingers. He twirled them, observing the snake as she moved. The desk was cluttered with various seeds, soils, and pots, remnants of projects that he had never quite gotten to. He was lost in the hypnotic motion of the small serpent. An untold amount of time passed while his mind remained clouded.
A soft knock jolted him from his trance. The elder glanced to his side, where a pair of empty liquor bottles rested. He pushed them under his bed with a less-than-graceful clatter.
"Yes? Erm, come in."

Unsure of weither she should or not, she returned the bow. "So far," she paused, trying to find the right word. "Definitely interesting. Finding myself interrupting a procession of a prominent figure was never in my list of things to do." She shook her head, "Pleasant so far, although I haven't had much of a chance to explore. It's beautiful, though, much different than home."

"Something that pissed me off? There are quite a few things that got me furious, but one thing that has pissed me off recently is there is an Izzet guildmage I'm going to throttle when I find him unless he tells me what he knows about a certain gold robe-wearing group."

She wrinkles her nose and huffs, placing a quick kiss to Tamiyo's cheek.
