Get back up you silly pony

A new experience today,

Chess, though with a 4th dimension

Tis hard when you start to play;

and requires the utmost attention.

Though of it I grew quickly fond,

my partner, he made me feel conned;

his quick wit and strategic mind

left me so quickly behind.

But I'll practice hard for our next chess night.

Mayhap he'll practice spelling my name right.

Practicing Weaver's facial structure and some expressions.

Getting the hang of this I tell you what.

I may do some other characters too.

A familiar face came my way today

A face I had seen twice before

She hopped and she pranced and she wished me good day

but that's not what she stopped me for.

She gave me a sock of a brilliant red,

she offered the sock to me;

"it's nearly Winter, hang this by your bed,

and wait for the magic" said she.

Then she pranced away, as a mare may do

she left me grateful and yet, confused.

But her gift lifted my spirit,

my heavy heart with it;

and so dear Wonder

Thank you.
