tips for making gifs

RESIZING/SCREENRECORDING:

when you screencord just use 1080 for size as much as possible don't make it reach 2000+ because it would be so hard to process in photoshop and it would take you a long time resizing and honestly it really messes up the quality once you sharpen it even if you have already changed the image size - this applies not only to vlc but to your internet browsers

SHARPEN:

always sharpen before coloring

COLORING:

always convert video to timeline (while all the layers are selected) -> convert for smart filters -> sharpen (however you want) -> COLOR

lastly, while coloring sports gifs please use the selective color a lot while coloring

Its quite easy actually, heres a screen shot of the layer:

1. Add layer mask.

2. Make sure your colours look like this:

3. Click on the layer mask and using your brush tool begin to erase the background. 

4. Google 'floral wallpaper' or 'floral background' to find the appropriate background image in which you'd like to use.

Then thats about it although if you want the white line thingy like i had, thats just me going over with my eraser and experimenting. Just have fun and try different things. I hope this helps because i suck at explaining things.
