Do you think fratboy!Jeno and wifey would have pregnancy scares?
Ooooooh! Ok I like this question!
I do think they have a major scare in high school given the fact that hormones are running high, they’re all loved up, and totally unable to control themselves. You start to think about it around the time that your period is about two weeks late, maybe start to over think everything else over the past two weeks. You’ve been more tired, stomach cramping, more headaches… before you even take a test you tell Jeno and being that the two of you are still in high school obviously he freaks out.
You two skip your last class of the day, head to the store and take the test there. Maybe, the universe thinks it’s a joke because the heat (the cheapest one) comes back inconclusive and the two of you start to totally bug out. Thankfully, you have a little bit of sense to make a doctor’s appointment before you burst into panicked tears.
For days you’re sick with anxiety. You can’t believe you’re actually pregnant. You can’t believe you got pregnant in high school. You never thought it would be you. You’re on edge all the time, jumpy, and red-eyed from exhaustion and your endless tears. Your parents are going to be disappointed and your dreams will have to change.
And just like that, the doctor’s appointment comes. You’re given a clean bill of health, a few pamphlets for new birth control options, and the peace of mind that you were never actually pregnant.
It’s a secret that you and Jeno never tell anyone.
mdni below the cut
Really, one would think that a pregnancy scare would be enough to keep them on the straight and narrow, but no. With college comes them living together, falling into habits that aren’t always great, no one to answer to, and straight up stupid decisions. Honestly, they’re beyond lucky that most of these decisions don’t lead to scares.
They’ve, of course, learned from their past mistakes. Condoms are their go to choice or birth control. Jeno and Wifey learn that being too lazy to reach for a condom or simply not wanting to budget for them comes with awkward visits to the university clinic or late night strolls for Plan B.
Birth control pills and the stomach flu lead to a scare later on down the line because they’ve deemed themselves “cycle pros.” Or rather, birth control is their only form of protection so Jeno’s not pulling out if you’re not ovulating. Hey, you like this kink of his just as much as he does.
And when you get tired of taking the pills or how they mess with your body, an IUD becomes the next best idea. No scares there. Plus, you and Jeno can really get into his not-so-secret breeding kink. Not to be taken seriously until you’re both officially graduated and settled into adult life, of course.
omg I can’t believe you still post that’s crazy (/lh) I haven’t checked your blog in too long!
I used to be gtliveoutofcontext, if you remember me?? No worries if you don’t, we didn’t interact much.
Anyway, I stopped watching GTLive right before Sam stopped being the tech (I had to find out he was quitting from Reddit, how fun) and never really came back because it was too much change imo not long after Mat left, and I didn’t really like fish at the time… I’ve watched a couple streams on archive since but generally don’t really watch it anymore but really want to get back into it, but I know very well about the channel’s dedication to referencing old vids/jokes and I feel like if I start watching now I’ll get loadsss of FOMO from it and I’ll just get sad.
Sorry wow yap, basically I’m asking are there any big recurring jokes/bits that I would have missed since Sam left??? I know about the ominous little flower guy that that I genuinely, like, it😭
Also completely fine if you don’t really watch anymore either or can’t think of anything!! Hope you’re okay :))
Hey! Welcome back!
I'll be the first to admit I don't post as much these days and I've also fallen very behind on GTLive. Mostly because I work fulltime now and watching 2-3 hour VODs is super daunting. I'm also not really vibing with Ash's game choices lately, but that's on me.
Having said that, there are a few dedicated GTLivers that help update the Theorists Wiki with some of the running jokes on GTLive: https://matpat.fandom.com/wiki/GTLive/Running_Jokes I know they don't have everything but its a good starting place!
I often have to ask folks about what's going on (Poor Nellie has explained Hugh Morris to me like 3 times and I still forget about it), so you won't stand out or anything if you ask someone. There's also a new official discord for the channels which is super active. I just lurk, the only server I'm active in is our Theorists Wiki server.
The hardest part to catch up on is any Fish lore. Fish (it/its) keeps a very low (honestly nonexistent) online profile (we don't add It to our Wiki as per request). Because we collectively agree to keep Its info offline, your best bet is to DM questions or ask on discord.
But yeah, we'd love to have you back if you're up for it! I understand if its too much too. The fandom is pretty fragmented these days and sometimes a bit hostile (it's been two years, you'd think people would move on from He Who Must Not Be Named).
•untying your lover's tie, using it to pull your lover into a kiss
•leaning into your lover's touch, their fingers tracing down your stomach, their body pressed against yours
•kisses that start of passionate but grows more delicate
•kissing your lover so gently, worried that if you pull away for just a second, they might disappear lingering forehead against forehead, consumed by each other to the point of barely having strength enough to breathe
With Taehyung and Lace. Not necessarily all but like the vibe that all of those combined kind of give off. Absolutely love the way you write this couple and would love to have more to read! I think I reread their Steamy Waters at least once a month!

Taehyung's hair had grown so much since the last time you'd seen him. At least, it felt that way, especially as you pulled it back from his forehead.
You were standing there, in the middle of the living room.
Once more, you hadn't been his priority as he came back from his business trip, but you tried to make it work. You tried not to make it hurt.
“It's so good to see you,” he murmured, digging his fingers into the flesh of your waist, squeezing enough to get the feel of you, of how real you were.
“I'm happy to see you too.” You would have been happier if he hadn't avoided you for so many days, but as usual, he had been distant, and now he was desperately trying to get you to act as if he hadn't hurt you, as if nothing had happened.
He tried to kiss you, but you offered him your cheek instead. He didn't understand. “Aren't you happy to see me?”
“I said I am.” You combed his hair some more. It broke your heart to see him so confused, but you didn't think you were ready to move on.
“You're keeping me away.”
“Maybe I want room for myself.”
He placed his hands on your cheeks, tucking your hair away from your face. “I'm sorry I hurt you. I wanted to keep you safe.”
“Maybe you just wanted to keep me away,” you suggested, spearing through him with your eyes. “You didn't want to see me and therefore you didn't, ignoring that maybe I needed to see you.”
Taehyung stared at you, your words like a punch to the nose. He felt the burn. “Is that what you think? After all our time together? All the times I showed you I love you?”
“Don't pull that card on me!” you hissed. “Don't you ever pull that card on me.” You took a step back.
He took one forward.
You shook your head. “No. I'm done. I need space.”
Taehyung dropped his head and stepped away from you. “I'm sorry. I'm not used to being responsible for other people's emotions. I'm always too absorbed in mine and I get selfish.”
You inhaled and sat down beside him. “Why didn't you come to me?”
Taehyung pouted. “I sort of forgot that you were waiting. I thought you were busy enough not to notice. You never pressured me into coming to see you.” His voice was oceans deep, his fingers toying together to ease his nerves.
You exhaled. Inhaled. And then you spoke. “I rarely call for people because I like feeling important enough for them to come to me. I know, it's toxic, but I still do it every now and then.” You licked your lips and tried to explain. “I wanted to be prioritised without having to ask you to do that.”
Taehyung looked at you as you confessed such a delicate side of yourself. “And then there's me, cramming all my socialising so that I can spend time with you without having to poison the beautiful moments we live together with unwelcome interruptions.”
You rolled his words around in your head. “Now you're making me into the bad guy.”
He huffed out, shaking his head and closing his eyes. “It's… Nevermind.”
You placed your hand on his knee. “No. It matters to me. I'm sorry. I should have told you, just like you should have told me.”
He relaxed, just a little. “You matter to me. You matter to me, and I'm sorry for this misunderstanding. I'll be more considerate next time.” He met your eyes and you felt his gaze tug at your heart. “I just want to fade into you so that no one can find me but you.”
You tutted with an endeared expression on your face. “How can I even stay mad at you.” Next thing you knew he was sitting on your lap and you were holding him in your arms, sifting through the hair at his nape.
You feared he had fallen asleep in your embrace as his breathing grew calm and regular, his body heavy and warm. “Tae,” you cooed in his ear.
And when he picked up his head from the crook of your shoulder, you were struck by his unique beauty. “Tiger pup,” you murmured before grabbing his face and placing your forehead against his, nudging his nose with yours. “Are you feeling better, pup?”
He nodded drowsily and pouted a little. “I'm still waiting to be kissed.”
You giggled knowingly before disclosing your lips cheekily over his upper lip, giving him the most silent, most delicate of butterfly kisses.
He seemed to wake from his slumber all of a sudden, his personality hitting a switch: his hands, once skimming your neck innocently, found their way to your hair, gripping it as he tugged them down, forcing your chin upwards.
You felt his teeth against your throat. When did he get so feral?
He softened again, giving you whiplash. His lips turned lascivious and luxuriant against your skin, his hot, humid breath fanning over your sensitive neck.
Taehyung parted his lips, offering you those kisses that always drove you insane. He gave you the softness of his full lips, moistened by his saliva, the hardness of his teeth, just a millimetre of them, only the edge. And then, the faint feel of his tongue.
You were so jealous of such a small piece of his body. Possessiveness got to your head like heavy wine the moment you realised it was something yours. The feel of it, its ardent and skilled art.
“Taehyung,” you sighed, your hands gripping the back of his shirt. He didn’t need to tug at your hair anymore: you willingly held your head back, ready to let him feast all over you, to let him banquet over your vulnerable body.
His hand met your chest almost instinctively, just resting there.
You didn’t know, but he wasn’t interested in your breast. He was focusing on the racing heart beneath, getting off to the empowering feeling of controlling it so easily.
“Just a couple nibbles and you’re already so needy.” He pinched your nipple through the camisole, just to hear you moan, to watch your eyelids fall, your eyelashes fanning over your cheekbone.
You were so insanely erotic and poetic to him and you would never get to see it… Unless…? He set the thought aside for some more accurate planning, and focused on the task at hand.
He let the tip of his middle finger trace your collarbone, your sternum.
It was as light as a feather, but scorching hot — as if he were hovering over your body with the flame of a candle. But he was touching. Of course he was.
He cut in between your breasts, over the silk of your top, percurring your sternum. He felt your breath hitch as his touch tickled you while he moved his digit across your belly, over your belly button.
You knew you were soaking wet if he just dared to venture in your underwear.
He knew you were thinking just that. “You must be so slick between your legs,” he whispered with that deep, intoxicating voice of his. “You’d be even slicker if I knelt on the ground, pushed your ass to the edge of the sofa, got your velvety thighs on my shoulders and feasted on your delicious cunt.” He chuckled as you whimpered, pushing your hips up, searching for relief he didn’t allow you. “I bet I could feel the heat of you all over my face without even touching you. Just hovering there… a palm away. Maybe even two. But I would still feel you radiating all your warmth and arousal right at me.”
“Tae…”
“Beg for it.”
You opened your eyes and looked at him. A corner of your mind reminded you you’d just bickered with him and that it wasn’t okay to have fun (have fun?) with him when you still knew each other so little and were so incompatible on so many aspects and he was…
“Lace,” he said, calling you back to him.
Your gaze met his, doubt, insecurity, fear fogging his visage.
Your silence was tearing him apart. Had he pushed your limits? Did he upset you? Did he disrespect you while you weren’t in the mood to?
You looked at him and grabbed his necktie — why was he dressed so formally? — pulling him close, smashing your lips against his. It was his turn, this time, to moan.
Your palm landed on his ass, pulling him closer, until your chest and his were crushed together, until there was no way you could keep breathing.
“I don’t want to beg tonight,” you managed to say, panting through the words. “Don’t remind me just how bad I have it for you.” How one-sided this all is, you thought but didn’t say. Your careless romancer had become a cruel sovereign, his once feverish attentions had become tepid acquiescence — as if he had fallen out of whatever spell had bound him to you in the first place.
If you had spoken your thoughts, he would have reassured you that his feelings were as scorching as the night his eyes had touched your lips for the first time. He was just exploring feelings he had never had. He felt guarded the day he realised they weren’t fading, just as he was guarded now. He was reaching depths of him he had never touched, and just like a diver, he feared the moment air — his air, you — would leave him. He would be stuck at sea, far from safety, light, warmth, air, destined to a cold and watery tomb.
He kissed you with his mouth, his teeth, his tongue. He kissed you with all he had, trying to show you that all you gave, he would give back tenfold. And when you started growing fonder, softer, more delicate, so did he, his affection mirroring yours, cradling it like the loving embrace of a mother. He chilled his fervour so that it wouldn’t crush the tender nature of your fondness.
“Can you feel it?” he whispered, brushing your cheek with his. “You say you have it bad. Can you feel how bad I have it for you?”
You felt your brow crease. You highly doubted his feeling was as severe and threatening as your own. And doubt was a necessity as, if he did return your feeling, there was no way it wouldn’t end up in flames.
He grabbed your hand and placed it on his chest, pressed it hard there, until it hurt. “Can you feel it?”
His other hand cupped your cheek and you let your eyes close, nudging your face against his palm. “What if it ends?”
“We'll lay each other down, slowly.” Taehyung laced your fingers with yours, keeping them over his heart. It was rampaging, roaring inside him, so alive, so fuelled by your presence. “We can only believe in it and hope for the best.”
You tipped your head to the side and kissed his wrist. “Is it good enough for you? Safe enough?”
“I'll make it work.” He traced the curve of your cheek with the tip of his nose. “Is it for you?”
You took a deep breath as you thought about it. “It feels heavy — this kind of uncertainty. I'm not used to it. It unsettles me a lot.”
He brought your joined hands to his lips, kissing your knuckles. “I won't hold it against you if it gets too much. Just tell me when it does. Don't drop me out of the blue.”
Your left hand traced up his torso, gripping his shirt as you squeezed your eyes shut, desire and fear and love burning you alive. “I'll tell you. I'll give us time to adjust,” you reassured him.
He placed his palm on the side of your face, his fingers combing back your hair, his thumb tracing your cheekbone. “Thank you.”
You nodded, settling into the warmth of his hand. “Sex feels scary. Sometimes I fear we won't make it once we come off the high.”
Taehyung waited with his mouth so close to yours, listening to your objection before offering you little nudges with his upper lip. “You think I don’t love you for real?”
His tone wasn’t accusing. He was gentle and sincere. “Maybe you just think you do. Maybe it’s just the initial enthusiasm, and then it’s going to die down and you’ll leave and I’ll be left with a bleeding hole in my chest, and… and—”
His face dove for your hair, trying to make you feel how necessary you were to him. How inevitable.
And you made yourself at home in the crook of his neck.
“I can’t make you trust me,” he murmured, and you could feel his heart, tender like moss, like chamomile flowers, like a flannel blanket. “I can only tell you this is something deeper, older. I feel understood. You make me feel like nobody has ever seen me before you. You make me want to be a child all over again, so I can learn from you.”
You held him tighter.
“You make me feel as if, with you by my side, I can heal.” His hands clawed at your clothes, as if trying to cling to you with everything he had in him. “And I’ve been searching in me, even when I was away— I needed to visit my wounds.” He cleared his voice a little as you rubbed his back, comforting him. “I can feel myself change and I wanted to see— I needed to see if there’s anything different inside me— what is different inside me.” He inhaled. Exhaled. “I needed to see if the person I am now has new answers to those questions that have kept me up at night for so long.”
You didn’t know what to say. “Will you stay the night?”
He nodded, but he ended up enjoying the way his nose sunk deeper into the scent of you as he did so.
Everything with him is so essential. Emotions were stripped to the bone, no way to conceit them. It was like being lit in the ruthless light of noon, no shadows, never, nowhere.
Maybe it was being allowed a darkness where your body and his own were no different, where finally, in pure darkness, the evidence of your bodies separating your souls would become invisible — for what border can be seen in the dark?
And in the darkness, you found him. He stripped himself naked beside your bed and crawled in. You hesitated for a second and he turned to look at you before kneeling and moving closer to you.
He stood on his knees on the bed, before you, and then his arms reached behind you, holding you. His head laid on your chest, and he could feel your heartbeat, steady, solid, giving him a certainty he had indulged in very few times in his life.
His hands appeared on your shoulders, sliding down, skimming your breasts, your sides, your stomach. His fingers tiptoed under the hem of your shirt and his palms laid against your nude skin.
His eyes in yours, he lifted your shirt just by an inch.
You nodded.
He lifted it further, until your hands met his own and you finished what he started, removing your top entirely.
Next, you took off your shorts. Your underwear.
His eyes glittered in the dark, his lashes turning you into a cat mesmerised by little feathers dancing from a toy.
He lured you in and soon you were a tangle of limbs under your sheets, his head resting on your chest, as always, your fingertips running through his lovely chocolate locks.
And in the darkness, where everything was so calm and undisturbed, where you could hope it would last forever, you whispered, “Do you love me?”
And in the darkness, he replied, “I love you.” He could feel the sound of being alive, there, with you.
“I love you too.”
He sighed with relief. He fell asleep shortly after. It always happened so quickly when you played with his hair.
And as you laid there, naked, below him, you hoped that moment, that single instant in the dark, would last forever.
You knew that, if he ever left, in the darkness, you would still feel his hair understand your fingertips, the weight of his head on the bleeding hole in your chest.
But for tonight, you would postpone those apocalyptic thoughts. For tonight, you would let yourself be one with him. In the darkness.
Hey saw your post about you learning Japanese. Great resources for hiragana and katakana. I'm debating learning and was wondering do you learn the Kanas at the same time or do you learn hiragana first. Also is hiragana enough to continue vocab and grammar learning?
Hi~
All the resources I’ve seen teach hiragana first and then teach katakana afterwards. I also learnt the basics of hiragana before moving onto katakana. Hiragana comes first as katakana is mostly used for foreign loan words. I wouldn’t recommend learning both from scratch at the same time as there are katakana equivalents of hiragana so it could be quite confusing!
You can get started on very basic vocab and grammar with only hiragana. But you can’t hold off learning katakana for very long because to do a self-introduction like “My name is X” or “I’m from [country name]” you're going to need to know katakana (as most country names are in katakana).
Side note: A lot of beginner Japanese resources will assume you don’t know kana well or at all and so put romaji next to all kana. So you could ‘learn’ grammar and vocab without putting much into learning kana upfront. I personally wouldn’t recommend this approach as it’ll hurt your pronunciation.
I probably should have noted in my earlier post that you don’t need to go through all four resources before doing anything else. Rather these are the steps that I did:
Use Duolingo for a week or so to test my interest in learning Japanese.
Continue with Duolingo but also start using Memory Hint to learn and test myself on a ‘row’ of hiragana and then review that row with HirKat.
Use HirKat to teach the additional rows that Memory Hint doesn’t teach.
Start using Kanji Teacher to check that I can remember all of the hiragana.
Once I reached the ‘katakana 1′ unit on Duolingo I repeated steps 2 & 3 but with katakana.
Then I fully completed the kana tutor tests of Kanji Teacher.
After that, I completed the hiragana and katakana self-study courses on Minato.
After step 5 you’ll have a basic understanding of kana and can start using other resources if you like. Step 6 will help you recall kana quicker, while step 7 will help you read words (in particular the units on long vowels and small tsu sounds are really invaluable).
(It's a bit hard to explain without a visual but hiragana and katakana can be divided into ‘rows’ - most rows have five characters so it’s less overwhelming to learn row by row rather than trying to tackle them all at once).
Who would you like to be caught under mistletoe with?
I’m like, a kissing brewery or something! People can come in and like, sample me anytime or if they like it they can get a full-sized version! But people I’d invite to the grand opening are:

@ellecharming
@mayariverax unless Marco has dibs
@nadiadecordoba
@haverlyarendelle

At this point I should probably write a dissertation about who’s compatible and who’s not! There are some of us that I think would be really great together and could be awesome couples that could make it through the long haul, and then there are some of us that are... @dijonnoginger and @zoe-tomago.
Seriously, though, guys... I feel like it already beat the odds that none of our parents ended up together given how close they are! Now that our generation’s almost doubled in number, someone’s got to be together until their dying day, right?
