YEs the bumpy part is the hide of a thyreophoran--this story happens in a spec evo world where non-avian dinos didn’t go extinct after the cretaceous so it comes from a descendant that looks like this:

this year has been a Lot but i am back to working on it again, and currently i have a meeting with my awesome editor this week to go over the outline for all of volume 3. Cause, uhh, this volume is the last one! it’s gonna end!! and that’s kinda scary and i wanna make sure i do a good job, so ive been really taking my time with it. i guess that’s one good thing about the wrench this year threw at me haha.
i wanna hope updates will resume late november/december but that's probably wishful thinking haha. but it is coming along and i will definitely let you all know when i think i’ll be back to updating again. thanks for being so patient ;__;;
