Chance couldn't remember when the last time he saw his family was. Months ago? Years? At one point he stopped his running to be with Cas, but he was off again, on the trail of some asshole hunters.
You'd think they would learn not to mess with Dean Winchester. Not to mess with one of the best hunters in the business.
Not to mess with a vampire who could walk in daylight, and had a metal arm forged by a Goddess just for him.
But no, they kept pursuing him.
He had stopped them for now, lost their trail, killed off a lot of them. Chance had his regrets, but if they were stupid enough to trail him they deserved to die the way they did. And he enjoyed drinking every last drop of their blood.
The matter was if Cas would still want him now.
Chance hadn't spoken with him in a long time, not wanting to draw the hunter's to his family. But here he was, taking that chance.
The vampire pushed the door open, entering his own home as he looked around. He should make more noise, yeah, but he just wanted to see. What if Cas moved on? What if his family wasn't his any more?
He did his best to push the thoughts aside as he went searching for them.
This is really only relevant to those I RP with regularly, many of which already know this but I figured I'd post it here just in case.
Since I started this account, I've lived in California and been on in the evening hours on PST time.
However on August 26th I'm moving for college. Where am I going? London, England! So there's about to be an 8 hour time change in the hours I'm normally on.
It also probably means a few days of inactivity as I get acclimated and go through orientation.
I know this makes it hard for a lot of the people I talk to, but I definitely still want to keep in touch and I'm excited for new people I might meet being on at different hours!
Wiping the sweat from his brow with the back of one hand he approached the house looking inside the dark windows. No one seemed to be awake but he knew Cas well enough to know that his boyfriend probably was. He was thankful for that, not wanting to disturb the children at this time.
It was the middle of the night after all. Little boys and vampires needed their sleep. Especially as school would be starting soon.
Thinking on that he wondered if he would have to homeschool Lily...
That would be something to talk over with Cas.
Smiling to himself he unlocked the door, slowly entering their shared home before locking it behind himself. It had been a long hunt. Longer than he expected at least. Yet here he was, safe and sound. He just had to look into finding someone he knew who was missing and not picking up their cell.
That could wait until after he had reunited with his boyfriend though.
From July 11th to July 15th I'll be in San Diego partying it up at San Diego International Comic Con!
On July 16th, I'm getting my wisdom teeth removed.
On July 19th my good friend from the east coast is in town, so I'll be spending as much time with him as I can.
From July 27th through July 29th my best friend from when I lived in Colorado is coming to meet me in San Diego.
Basically this is relevant to you all because this leaves me very little time and brainpower for roleplaying. So I'm going to put this account on a Mini Hiatus. Both times I'm in San Diego I won't have time to RP at all. It's possible I'll be on a bit between the 16th and the 27th, but it won't be too much.
When I get back expect even more of me to make up, and possibly a new account, if the new muses in my head don't shut up.
Basic point: From July 11th through July 29th, you won't be seeing me much.
I love you all and I will miss you greatly. <3 Dean will miss you too!
((Apparently have philosophical debates about history and human rights. Huh. I figure that's not normal.
So sorry I disappeared.
But damn I love talking about history. And politics. Huge nerd for it right here. Anyway now it's 1am and I woke up early. Ugh. I swear I want to get back into my summer pattern of staying up until 3 but life keeps fucking it up. Whatever man. What. Ever.
So I'm going to post another response to each thread owed and then it's bedtime for me and Dean.))
It is always fucking dark. Dean is beginning to think he will forget what sunlight looks like altogether.
Now he’s not one to admit he’s scared. And he’s not…most of the time. Killing monsters, he was raised doing it, it’s not something that scares him much anymore. But here...he can’t kill the monsters. Not really. Yeah maybe they disappear for a while but everything here, it’s already dead. Can’t kill it for long before it’s nipping at your heels again.
And yeah. That’s pretty terrifying.
He’s man enough to admit that he wouldn’t still be standing if it weren’t for Cas. Crazy or not, he still had some angel mojo to hurl around, even if it seemed to be fading every day. The warrior from heaven Dean had met was showing more and more every day. Or…what felt like a day. It was hard to tell in here.
At the moment they’re recovering form a particularly nasty battle with some vampires who seemed to have less than fond memories of Dean. Dean was relatively unscathed but Cas was nursing a particularly nasty injury to one of his wings.
That was the other interesting thing. Cas’ wings were visible here. Black as the constant night around them and strong. He looked almost more natural with them than he ever did without them. They’re limbs to him, deadly as the rest of him. Ok, maybe he’s gushing a little. But c’mon. They’re pretty fucking cool. Got to let the little things shine through in a situation like this.
They huddled together in the dark of the woods Cas wings wrapped around them, shielding them somewhat from any prying eyes of nearby monsters. It didn’t always work but it helped. It was warm and quiet; the two of them pressed together like this. Easy to forget where they were, and what the stakes were. Even if it was just for a few minutes.
“Cas for what it’s worth…thanks. For having my back and all.” Dean mumbled. Half the time he felt like he was just slowing the angel down.
Cas shook his head. “Of course Dean. It is best if we stick together. I am sure Sam is working on a solution to return us to Earth.” Dean knew well enough that Cas didn’t believe that. But it was still nice to hear.
And for whatever reason, Dean leaned over and pressed his lips to Cas’ cheek. Cas flushed, and smiled slightly.
